  • Publication number: 20060288743
Abstract: The present invention provides a peroxide generating device for application in an automatic fabric washing machine, comprising an electrochemical cell for the production of peroxide from tap water and air, and a pH modifying device for the production of acidic and alkaline water. Thereby enabling washing of the fabric articles without the need for added chemicals and improved fabric care, due to the separate dosing of peroxide.

  • Publication number: 20060200914
Abstract: A dry cleaning process for in-home dry cleaning comprising a non-aqueous dry cleaning step of contacting a laundry article with a non-aqueous dry cleaning composition whereby the liquor to cloth ratio (w/w) (LCR) is at most 20, and said composition comprises a) a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent; b) from 0 to 0.1 wt. % water by weight of the composition; and c) less than 0.9 wt.

  • Publication number: 20060128583
Abstract: A dry cleaning process for in-home dry cleaning comprising a dry cleaning step of contacting a laundry article stained with particulate soil with a dry cleaning composition wherein the liquor to cloth ratio (w/w) (LCR) is at most 20, and wherein said composition comprises a) a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent; b) a cleaning effective amount an acid surfactant.

  • Publication number: 20060054193
Abstract: The present invention provides a cleaning method in which the feed water is consecutively contacted with an appropriate combination of cation exchange resin material and anion exchange resin material. As a result, wash amplified water (WAW) is produced having a pH value that is more than 0.5 pH unit different from the feed water and a water hardness of less than 5° FH. In this method, the resins are regenerated with the use of an electric field. In step (ii) of the cleaning method of the invention, the wash-amplified-water is mixed with a detergent product that is substantially builder-free and contains at least 10% wt of surfactant. This cleaning method is preferably a fabric washing or dishwashing method.
