  • Patent number: 10699607
Abstract: A billboard advertising apparatus and installation method include an under-layer base and an overlying image layer. The under-layer provides an opaque white surface to a billboard panel as well as protection for the overlying image layer. The image layer is a thin translucent color layer with advertising or message copy. With the presence of a base or under-layer, the cost to make the image layer may be significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 9738108
Abstract: An image display comprising a substantially rigid support structure including a rectangular central sheet, four side strips and four back strips can be provided. An image can be provided on at least the front of the central sheet. The side strips can extend alongside respective edges of the central sheet and be adjoined to form four corners. The back strips can extend along respective side strips and be adjoined at respective corners for forming the assembled support structure. A mechanical securement device can be connected to adjoined back strips at each corner for rigidly securing the adjoined back strips together and for retaining the side and back strips in an assembled position.

  • Publication number: 20070110925
Abstract: A graphics substrate includes: a core layer having opposed front and back sides, and a polymeric top layer bonded to the front side of the core layer. The top layer defines a front face which is receptive to solvent-based inks. In one aspect, the top layer and the core layer are adapted to be recycled without first being separated. In another aspect, a unit weight of the substrate is about 270 g/m2 or less. The substrate may be carried on a support to provide a graphics display. A method of making the substrate includes: providing a core layer having opposed front and back sides, and bonding a polymeric top layer to the front side of the core layer.
