Patent number: 12043757Abstract: A superhydrophobic coating composition is provided comprising an NP component and a radical initiator (RI), wherein the NP component comprises NP particles having organic moieties bound to the surface of the NP particles. Also provided is a superhydrophobic coating composition further comprising a fluid. Also provided is a method for preparing a super-hydrophobic (SH) surface, where the method includes mixing an NP component with at least one RI and possibly with a fluid, thereby providing a coating composition, applying the coating composition onto a substrate (pre-coated or containing oxides) thereby providing a coated substrate; and applying radiation to the coated substrate, thereby providing the SH surface on which at least part of the NP component is covalently bound, directly or indirectly, to the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2020Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: AZRA SHS TECH INC.Inventors: Hanna Dodiuk-Kenig, Ana Dotan, Niv Cohen, Shmuel Kenig

Publication number: 20070043142Abstract: A dental material using nano material that will serve as reinforcement and will enhance mechanical properties with minimal sacrifice in other properties including processability of a dental material. The dental material may be used as a filling, restorative, cement, liner, adhesive or primer. This is achieved by combining several polymerizable monomers and/or oligomers, a polymerization initiator, at least one hyperbranched additive and at least one of an electrospun nanofiber, an electrospun nanosphere or a hyperbranched macromolecule. The hyperbranched additive may be hyperbranched molecules, dendridic molecules (such as dendrimers). In a preferred embodiment a caged silica (such as POSS) is used for a caged macromolecule. The material may also include nanoclay or traditional composite fillers.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2006Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventors: Hanna Dodiuk-Kenig, Barry Zalsman, Kira Lisenboim, William McHale

Patent number: 7119477Abstract: A piezoelectric motor comprising: a piezoelectric vibrator (50) having a surface comprising a localized non-planar shaped first surface region thereon which first surface region has a shape different from the shape of the surface on which it is located; and a friction nub (52) formed with a second surface region that is substantially a negative relief of the first surface region, which first and second regions are bonded together. Preferably the friction nub (52) is detachably mounted to the vibrator (50) via a boss (54) waving a protuberance (56) of conical shape. Alternatively the friction nub (52) has a protuberance (76) which is form-fitted to a recess (72) in the vibrator (50) or boss (70), respectively. First and second surface regions can also be threading surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1999Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Assignee: Nanomotion Ltd.Inventors: Ze'ev Ganor, Nir Karasikov, Hanna Dodiuk-Kenig

Patent number: 5374664Abstract: Novel dental polymeric compositions useful as an adhesive dental restoration material are described. The compositions are based on a polymer obtained by the reaction of methacryloxyethyl trimellitic acid anhydride and methyl methacrylate monomer, in the presence of a free radical catalyst, being characterized by the fact that they contain at least one compound selected from the group consisting of silver, nickel, tin, silicium, copper and titanium or their oxides. The preferred amount of these compounds is in the range of between 2% and 20% by volume of the polymer. The compounds should be finely ground, possessing a particle size in the range of between 5 to 50 microns. Optionally, the compositions will contain a material capable to release anions, most preferred being fluoride-based material, in an amount of between 1% to 10% by weight of the composition. The compositions were found to impart bonding to fresh or old amalgam, as well as to dentin, enamel, porcelain and various alloys.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1993Date of Patent: December 20, 1994Assignee: B.J.M.
