  • Patent number: 11981186
Abstract: A method and system for a responsive climate control interface are disclosed. The climate control interface includes an interactive element further comprised of a climate settings map and a climate setting selector. The climate setting selector can be moved to different locations on the climate settings map in order to select a climate setting with a particular temperature and fan speed. The appearance of both the climate settings map and the climate setting selector can be changed as the climate change selector is moved in order to visually indicate temperature and fan speed settings. The system also includes a haptic feedback module that can convert climate settings into haptic feedback levels.

  • Patent number: 11845322
Abstract: A portable display apparatus for conveying vehicle-related information using thermal and haptic touch is provided. The portable display apparatus includes circuitry communicatively coupled to a temperature control unit of the portable display apparatus. The circuitry receives from one or more first sensors associated with a vehicle, first temperature information associated with an interior space of the vehicle or an ambient environment of the vehicle and determines a temperature setting based on received first temperature information. The circuitry detects a physical-contact between the portable display apparatus and one of a skin portion or a cloth portion worn by a user. Thereafter, the circuitry controls the temperature control unit based on the determined temperature setting and the detected physical-contact.

  • Patent number: 11703988
Abstract: A server and method for social interaction-based display control is provided. The server acquires information associated with a first user of an electronic device. The server determines social connections of the first user based on the acquired information. The server analyzes an interaction of the first user with second users based on a communication between the second users and the first user. The second users may be associated with the social connections. The server determines, based on the analyzed interaction a connection score indicating a degree of interaction between the second users and the first user. The server transmits display information indicating the determined connection score to the electronic device. The electronic device may adjust display characteristics of a user interface (UI) element associated with the second users based on the display information.

  • Patent number: 11631087
Abstract: A system and method for automatically reconfiguring a user interface based on a product lifecycle that changes a visual appearance of a product image in the user interface to reflect its age or ownership duration is described. In one embodiment, a method includes determining one or more products owned by a user and an ownership period associated with an age or ownership duration of each product. The ownership period is compared to a product lifecycle for the product and, based on the comparison, one or more temporal effects are overlaid onto a base product image for the product. The one or more temporal effects change a visual appearance of the base product image in a user interface on a user device in communication with the unified product application to reflect the age or ownership duration of the product.

  • Publication number: 20220318759
Abstract: A method and system for efficiently scheduling vehicle test drives is disclosed. A user of an application can search for vehicles at nearby dealerships. Upon receiving the search results, the user can easily remove undesired vehicles from the list. After removing all undesired vehicles from the list, the user can request test drive scheduling for all the vehicles via a single interface. The system may then communicate with vendors to determine test drive appointment availability and present the user with only dates for which there are available appointments for all of the vehicles. The system may allow a user to select appointment times from a drop-down menu. The system may also generate an optimized schedule by considering the distances between vendors, estimated duration of each appointment, and a starting location for the user.

  • Publication number: 20220283644
Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device stores gesture mapping information indicating an association between a plurality of gestures and a plurality of functions associated with a plurality of applications of the electronic device. The electronic device receives first information about a first gesture, from a first user interface of the electronic device. The electronic device further determines a first set of functions, related to the plurality of applications, based on the stored gesture mapping information and the received first information. The electronic device further receives second information about a second gesture, from the first user interface. The second information about the second gesture received within a predefined time from the receipt of the first information and associated with a first function of the first set of functions. The electronic device further controls an execution of the first function associated with the second gesture.
