  • Patent number: 11860934
Abstract: Device for detecting partial matches between a first time varying signal and a second time varying signal, the device including: a fingerprint extraction stage; and a matching stage, wherein each feature information of a first fingerprint is pairwise compared with each feature information of a second fingerprint; wherein the matching stage includes a similarity calculator stage; wherein the matching stage includes a matrix calculator stage configured for arranging similarity values in a similarity matrix having dimensions of La×Lb, wherein an entry in the i-th row and j-th column of the similarity matrix is the similarity value calculated from the pair of the i-th feature information of the first fingerprint and of the j-th feature information of the second fingerprint; wherein the matching stage includes a detection stage configured for detecting the partial matches by evaluating a plurality of diagonals of the similarity matrix.

  • Patent number: 11704360
Abstract: Embodiments provide an apparatus for providing a fingerprint of an input signal, wherein the apparatus is configured to determine intensity values for a plurality of time-frequency regions of the input signal, wherein the apparatus is configured to compare the intensity values associated with different time-frequency regions of the plurality of time-frequency regions, to obtain individual values of the fingerprint based on the comparison of intensity values associated with two time-frequency regions.

  • Patent number: 11557279
Abstract: A device for acoustic monitoring of a monitoring area includes first and second sensor systems which have first and second acoustic sensors, processors, and transmitter, respectively, and which may be mounted at different locations of the monitoring area. The first and second processors may be configured to classify first and second audio signals detected by the first and second acoustic sensors so as to obtain first and second classification results, respectively. The first and second transmitter may be configured to transmit the first and second classification results to a central evaluator, respectively. In addition, the device may include the central evaluator, which may be configured to receive the first classification result and to receive the second classification result, and to generate a monitoring output for the monitoring area as a function of the first classification result and the second classification result.

  • Publication number: 20220159403
Abstract: A system and a corresponding method for assisting selective hearing are provided. The system includes a detector for detecting an audio source signal portion of one or more audio sources by using at least two received microphone signals of a hearing environment. In addition, the system includes a position determiner for allocating position information to each of the one or more audio sources. In addition, the system includes an audio type classifier for assigning an audio source signal type to the audio source signal portion of each of the one or more audio sources. In addition, the system includes a signal portion modifier for varying the audio source signal portion of at least one audio source of the one or more audio sources depending on the audio signal type of the audio source signal portion of the at least one audio source so as to obtain a modified audio signal portion of the at least one audio source. In addition, the system includes a signal generator.

  • Patent number: 11003709
Abstract: What is described is a method for associating noises of at least one signal class (like disturbing noise) of a plurality of signal classes (like disturbing noise and non-disturbing noise). The method has the steps of “receiving environmental noises” and “establishing whether the environmental noises or a set of parameters derived from the environmental noises fulfill/s a predefined rule which describes the signal class of the plurality of signal classes”. Starting from this, the steps of “logging that the predefined rule has been fulfilled”, “recording the environmental noises received for a migrating time window”, “deriving a set of parameters from the environmental noises for the migrating time window and storing the set of parameters” or “emitting an activation signal for another device for associating a noise” are performed.
