Abstract: A walking sole for use with a bicyclist's shoe having a cleat for engaging corresponding structure on the bicycle pedal includes a sole member for attachment to the shoe including front and rear portions connected together with a hinge. The front portion of the sole member is provided with a recess and, in a walking position, receives the cleat to provide a smooth walking surface. For riding, the front portion folds rearwardly at the hinge to a position beneath the rear portion where it is clear of the cleat.
