  • Patent number: 8083010
Abstract: A drilling device used for drilling into ground, rock or for reaming a predrilled hole includes several hammering bits in a circular shape and equipped with hammers, whereupon they together drill a hole which has a larger diameter. A casing tube can be pulled out of the hole/pushed into the drilled hole. A tubular, rotatable drill rod tube resides in the casing tube. The hammers are located in a circular shape and are each attached to the outer surface of the drill rod tube by joint/hinge attachments lying essentially in the drilling direction. Rotation of the drill rod tube in a first direction turns the hammers and associated bits outwardly from the drill rod tube, and rotation in another direction turns the hammers with their bits inwardly towards the drill rod tube so that they can be pulled away with the drill rod tube from inside the casing tube.

  • Patent number: 7614464
Abstract: A rock drilling machine includes a frame, and arranged inside the frame is a drill rod. A hammer gear is arranged to hammer the drill rod rear end. There is arranged around the drill rod a position sleeve and an arrangement to move position sleeve in an axial direction against hammering piston so that a counter surface of the position sleeve meets the counter surface whereby, on continuing the positioning, the drill rod is movable to the point desired. The counter surface by use of a spring element is arranged to flex in regard to the other structure of the position sleeve so that in the drilling position the sleeve is arranged to be freely backing against the front side of the drilling machine, and when in the drilling operation the positioning impact on the position sleeve against the hammering piston is removed.

  • Patent number: 6029753
Abstract: A percussion piston for use in a drilling apparatus includes a drill bit and at least three tubular parts which increase in diameter in a direction extending from the drill bit toward a rear end of the piston. The piston further includes flanges positioned between the tubular parts and a first corresponding delivery space at the rear end of the piston. At least two additional corresponding delivery spaces are positioned between the first corresponding delivery space and the drill bit. Channels allow the transport of pressurized hydraulic fluid to and from the first and additional corresponding delivery spaces such that an energy pulse produced by impact of the piston on the drill bit is almost completely absorbed by the drilled object.

  • Patent number: 5406658
Abstract: A lifting and transfer system for a patient includes a bed with a body portion, a patient-supporting portion and a raising device for raising, lowering and inclining the patient-supporting portion. A support frame includes an essentially vertically extending lifting pillar and an essentially horizontally extending lifting arm, wherein an end of the lifting arm is attached to the lifting pillar. A person lifter for lifting and lowering the patient is mounted on the free end of the lifting arm. The support frame is secured to the body portion of the bed at least during a patient transferring operation. The lifting pillar may be connected to the bed in such a way that is movable in a substantially horizontal direction along the end of the bed body. The lifting arm is attached to the lifting pillar such a way that it is pivotable in a substantially horizontal level about the vertical axis of the lifting pillar.

  • Patent number: 4736806
Abstract: Continuously revolving percussion drilling machine, which comprises a body (1), a drill shank (2) mounted rotatably and axially slidably in the body for causing impacts on the drill rod, an impact mechanism (3) positioned in the body for causing axial impacts on the drill shank, and a rotating device (4) for rotating the drill shank around its axis. The drill shank is provided with a toothing (8), which is coupled in direct engagement with a toothing (9) revolving in relation to the drill shank and rotating the drill shank, said toothing of the drill shank being axially displaceable in relation to said rotating toothing, so that the contact surfaces of the teeth of the toothing on the drill shank and of the toothing rotating the drill shank revolve and are exchanged constantly. The teeth operate cold and well lubricated. The rotating toothing may be a cogwheel or a tooth rim.

  • Patent number: 4711090
Abstract: In a method of and device for adjusting the feed movement of a drill rod for drilling a rock, the drill rod is rotated by a pressure-medium-operated rotary motor and fed in a drilling direction and in the opposite direction by a pressure-medium-operated feed motor. A pressure change on the pressure side of the rotary motor due to a change in the rotation resistance on the rotary motor acts oppositely on the pressure and outlet sides of the feed motor toward reversing the feed force of the feed motor, i.e. in inverse and direct dependence on the pressure change, respectively. The pressures on the pressure side and the outlet side of the feed motor are, therefore, controlled so that, when the pressure on one side increases because of the pressure change, the pressure on the other side decreases and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4343227
Abstract: A hydraulic percussion apparatus comprising a body, a cylinder in the body and a percussion piston reciprocating in the cylinder. A distributing valve moves in a valve housing. A valve for starting and stopping the percussion apparatus is provided. A hydraulic pump and hydraulic channels form a percussion circuit with a gas/liquid pressure accumulator. A distributing valve circuit and a free circulation circuit are provided for the pump which are parallelly coupled with the percussion circuit, which circuits are connected to the pump and to the start-and-stop valve which has positions for controlling pressure in the circuits. The start-and-stop valve has a middle position during which pressure in the percussion circuit rises up to a predetermined value while the distributing valve circuit remains closed independent of the pressure in the percussion circuit.
