  • Patent number: 10788819
Abstract: An industrial process is monitored and controlled by displaying at least one process page in a process page window, providing an operator configurable region, and providing at least one item display element representing at least one process component, sub-process or operation on the process page and being movable on top of the operator configurable region. A movement of the item display element from the process page on to the operator configurable region is determined, and the operator configurable region is caused to display a corresponding docked display element in the operator configurable region. The docked display element is configured to enable control of the process component, sub-process or operation the docked display element represents from the operator configurable region.

  • Publication number: 20190114130
Abstract: An industrial process control system includes a graphical user interface for monitoring and controlling an operation of an industrial process. The graphical user interface includes a main process page window for displaying a graphical illustration of the industrial process and a group of auxiliary process page windows displaying a graphical illustration of at least one subprocess or process component of the industrial process. The graphical illustration of the industrial process, at least one subprocess or at least one process component is operationally connected to the respective process, subprocess or process component for providing at least one of monitoring and controlling of an operation of the respective process, subprocess or process component.

  • Publication number: 20140336788
Abstract: An operator tool is provided to assist an operator of a process or machine in decision making. The tool is initiated by the operator selecting a key variable, “Variable of Interest”, at the user interface. The variable of interest usually is an output variable of interest (such as quality, cost, etc.). At least most significant variables related to the selected variable of interest are automatically determined by a statistical method and shown at the user interface. The operator can adjust the related variables shown on the interface. The impact of one variable to another is demonstrated by a prediction method and shown in a numerical and/or graphical form. After being satisfied with the result of the analysis, the operator decides on which is the preferred parameter change in order to overcome the problem in question or achieve the desired improvement, and then implements the corresponding change on the real system.

  • Publication number: 20020054107
Abstract: In a process control system, a terminal (4) displays symbols illustrating parts of a process and information about the status of the process, related to concrete places in the operating environment of the process, such as actuators, pumps, measuring devices, process equipment parts, or the like. Corresponding graphic images (6) are allotted to said concrete places, indicating the location of the place in the process, and these images can be displayed in the operating environment of the process control system when the process is running. The image can be processed when it is displayed, for example in such a way that a 3-dimensional image can be turned in different angles of viewing and/or it can be enlarged.

  • Publication number: 20020019672
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in a process control system, in which displays describing the status of a process (1) can be selected with a terminal (4). A display-specific text field (6a) is connected to one or more displays or display portions, in which text field (6a) additional information related to the display can be written with the terminal (4) in the operating environment of the process control system. The invention also relates to a process control system, which is connected in a control communication with a process (1) and which comprises a terminal (4) which is in connection with user interface software (3) for selecting displays (5) describing the status of the process, display-specific text fields (6a) being connected to the displays.
