Abstract: Disclosed is an improved approach for efficiently implementing a three-dimensional integrated circuit (3D-IC) design with heterogeneous and/or homogeneous dies. A first die design and a second die design in a three-dimensional (3D) electronic design maybe identified, and a wrapper design may be generated for at least a block of circuit component designs in the second die design for concurrent implementation of both the first and the second die designs. Both the first and the second dies of the 3D electronic design are concurrently implemented based at least upon a floorplan that is generated with at least the wrapper design for the 3D electronic design. A first wrapper and a second wrapper may be respectively generated for the first die design and the second die design based at least in part upon a result of the concurrent implementation.

Text or graphic icons representing functions of a portable electronic device are color coded, and the corresponding input controls are illuminated in the same colors. By using color to match the icons with the associated control(s), the present invention intuitively indicates to the user which controls are associated with a particular icon.

Abstract: A communication device such as a wireless communication device or an entity in a wireless communication network includes a mixer circuit and a speech codec. The mixer circuit generates a composite audio signal that includes speech signals received from a user of the device and supplemental audio signals generated from a selected audio file. The speech codec speech encodes the composite audio signal for transmission to a remote party via a communication network.

Abstract: An accessory for an electronic device includes a cable, such as an audio cable having first and second ends, and a plurality of light guides attached to the cable. The light guides have first ends proximate the first end of the cable and extend along a length of the cable. Respective ones of the plurality of light guides terminate at different points along the length of the cable. The accessory may further include an interface adapter coupled to the cable and the plurality of light guides and at least one light emitting device, and the light guides may be configured to receive light emitted by the at least one light emitting device.
