  • Patent number: 6135325
Abstract: A liquid dispenser includes a valve block that can be attached onto a vessel or can be connected to a reservoir. The valve block is characterized by an intake valve, a supply and dosing cylinder in which a supply and dosing plunger is slidably accommodated, and an outlet device for the liquid. The valve block and the supply and dosing cylinder preferably form an integral unit.

  • Patent number: 5433990
Abstract: A molded part formed of a liquid or pasty materials has a prepared outside surface for adhering to another molded part having a similar adhering surface. A prepared foil with individual members protruding from two opposite surfaces is placed in the mold before the molded part is poured. The protruding members on one side of the foil are bonded into the molded part. When the molded part is removed from the mold, the protruding members on the other side are exposed and can receive a suitable bonding agent whereby this molded part can be secured to another similar molded part.

  • Patent number: 5136624
Abstract: In the manufacture and processing of monocrystalline material, it is important to be able to detect and measure deviations from the ideal crystal structure. Data are required on the density and average extent of impurity precipitations. The irradiation of discrete crystal areas with wave or particle beams, the determination of the intensity distribution of the beams scattered under Bragg conditions, and the determination of static Debye-Waller factors are to be performed automatically and universally, on different specimen thicknesses, with high resolution and flexibility regarding changes in wavelength. For this purpose, a variation of the angle of incidence of the beams on the diffracting lattice planes is performed, and the reflection factor is measured by means of a photon or particle detector, and the integral reflection factor Rint is determined. Pivoting the specimen around an axis which is perpendicular to the diffracting lattice planes leads to a variation of the specimen thickness.

  • Patent number: 4379871
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for the production of a pigment-synthetic resin concentrate containing an organic solvent soluble polymer and carbon black having quicker distributability in organic media such as lacquer binding media, printing inks, etc., such concentrates being especially suitable for the production of molded parts, castings, films and/or synthetic fibers, the process comprising continuously homogenizing in a mixer powdery pigment and powdery synthetic resin jointly with an organic solvent in a given case also containing plasticizer, stabilizer and/or dispersing acid, dispersing the pigment in the mixture, removing the solvent from the dispersion, comminuting the resulting pigment-synthetic resin concentrated and grinding the product.

  • Patent number: 4339925
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cooling the hot gas casing of a gas turbine power plant is disclosed. The apparatus includes a shell which is spaced from but which encompasses the hot gas casing so as to form an air channel about the casing. A compressor provides a supply of cooling air which flows into the air channel through openings in the shell, and which air absorbs heat from the hot gas casing as it flows through the air channel.

  • Patent number: 4105464
Abstract: Carbon black containing pigment-synthetic resin concentrates are prepared by intensive intimate mixing of an aqueous polymerizate-lyosol containing a dispersed pigment and coagulating by addition of an electrolyte, separating the coagulate from the aqueous phase and drying.

  • Patent number: 3954495
Abstract: Pigment preparations containing carbon black, blue pigment and a wetting agent are prepared having an intimate inseparable mixture based on the total amount of pigment of 60-95 wt. % carbon black pigment and 40 to 5 wt. % blue pigment and based on 100 parts by weight of pigment, 0.5 to 3 parts weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone and 4 to 10 parts by weight of a cation active invert soap. The products are useful for pigmenting waxless carbon papers, typewriter tapes, printing inks and synthetic resins.
