Publication number: 20060260267Abstract: A stud panel and method of making a stud panel where interior sheathing may be a temporary piece of transparent plastic or a permanent panel of sheet rock so as to retain insulation in place and minimize scarfing. The stud panel may include studs having through holes extending in a length direction of the stud panel such that insulation in adjacent inner regions separated by such studs interlock with each other and contribute to a structural integrity of the stud panel. The stud panel may include a space between inner studs and one of the exterior and interior sheathing so as to provide a thermal and sound break between the exterior and inner sheathing so as to minimize heat, air and sound transfer between the exterior and interior sheathing.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2006Publication date: November 23, 2006Inventors: Hans Hagen, Robert Leslie, Robert Demers

Patent number: 5405414Abstract: In textile printing using a printing paste containing a dye and a biological polymer (or modified polymer) as thickener, removal of the thickener and excess dye is made much more efficient by washing the printed textile in the presence of a suitable enzyme. The enzymatic breakdown of thickener decreases process time as well as the amount of energy and water needed to achieve a satisfactory quality of the textile.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1993Date of Patent: April 11, 1995Assignee: Novo Nordisk A/SInventors: Gitte Pedersen, Hans A. Hagen, Lars Asferg, Ebbe Sorensen

Patent number: 4824639Abstract: In a test strip for the detection of a component in a liquid sample, the strip comprising a support layer, a microporous polymer layer and a reagent for the detection of the component to be determined, the improvement wherein the microporous polymer layer is a membrane which has an asymmetric pore structure with the narrower pores being on the side to which the sample is applied, and the support layer is macroscopically smooth. The porous membrane is produced by coagulation from solution.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1988Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Assignee: Bayer AktiengesellschaftInventors: Karlheinz Hildenbrand, Hans-Hagen von Dohren, Hermann Perrey, Georg Frank, Rolf Dhein

Patent number: 4813705Abstract: In a vehicle spring system, the rear wheel spring system is constructed as active spring system and the front wheel spring system as passive spring system. The control pulses for the active rear wheel spring system are supplied from the vehicle front wheels which act as road surface sensors.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1987Date of Patent: March 21, 1989Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke AGInventors: Hans Hagen, Rudolf Mueller

Patent number: 4700424Abstract: In a windshield washing system for motor vehicles which includes a line for the supply of heated washing liquid to a spray nozzle, the line is part of a closed circulatory system which extends from a heating device in a reservoir tank to the spray nozzle in back and in which a pressure producer in case of need acts upon the washing liquid with an increased spray pressure, at which the spray nozzle releases washing liquid onto the surface to be cleaned.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1986Date of Patent: October 20, 1987Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke AktiengesellschaftInventor: Hans Hagen

Patent number: 4369984Abstract: A stair assembly for a passenger vehicle, especially an omnibus, in which the stair assembly is arranged in a lateral access area of the vehicle. The stair assembly comprises a horizontally extendable first stair member connected by links to a second stair member to form a parallelogram linkage in which the second stair member can be pivotally moved towards the ground and laterally outwards from the first stair member. In order to bridge a lateral gap between the vehicle and the edge of a boarding platform, the first stair member whose upper surface is at the level of the platform, is extended towards the edge of the platform and the second stair member is carried along in a parallel position beneath the first stair member. When the bus is to be boarded and unboarded from the ground, the first stair member is fully extended, together with the second stair member beneath it whereafter the second stair member is pivoted into lowered position.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 1980Date of Patent: January 25, 1983Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nurnberg AktiengesellschaftInventor: Hans Hagen

Patent number: 4216684Abstract: The present hybrid drive is especially suitable for buses and the like which must make frequent stops. The engine, clutch, and automatic transmission are arranged in series. A flywheel energy storing device is coupled to the drive train by a further clutch. The automatic transmission is a power distribution transmission including a mechanical power transmission branch and a hydraulic power transmission branch. An auxiliary power take-off connects the flywheel to the drive train. The auxiliary power take-off is arranged laterally adjacent to the transmission. The connection point between the transmission and the auxiliary drive is constructed to take up power which, in addition to the engine power, is re-circulating through the hydraulic branch and which flows into the mechanical branch.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1977Date of Patent: August 12, 1980Assignee: Maschinefabrik Augsburg-Nuenberg AktiengesellschaftInventors: Faust Hagin, Hans Hagen, Hans-Jurgen Drewitz, Erich Knirsch, Paul Merker

Patent number: 4213625Abstract: A bus arranged in accordance with the present invention permits the boarding level to be minimized at bus stops without unduly reducing the ground clearance to be maintained during operation. When supporting struts are being extended at a bus stop, the bus will tilt forward about a horizontal transverse axis extending through these supporting points, so that the distance between the bus body and the roadway will considerably decrease in the forward portion of the bus. Short-circuiting the air suspension bellows of front and rear axles prevents the air bellows from countering the down-movement of the bus body with a restoring force. When passengers have boarded, the bus is restored to its horizontal position by retracting the supporting struts, with the air from the air bellows of the rear axle flowing back to the front axle.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1978Date of Patent: July 22, 1980Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nurnberg AktiengesellschaftInventor: Hans Hagen
