  • Patent number: 4822251
Abstract: A vacuum pump has a housing, a pump shaft having a terminal shaft portion, a bearing member mounted in the housing and supporting the pump shaft and a rotor affixed to the pump shaft. The housing has a housing wall forming a side chamber with the bearing member. The terminal shaft portion projects through the bearing member into the side chamber. There is further provided a device for measuring the rpm of the rotor. The device comprises an inductive sensor held in the housing wall and a ferromagnetic member mounted on the terminal shaft portion for rotation in unison therewith. The ferromagnetic member induces electric pulses in the inductive sensor at a rate proprotionate to the rpm of the rotor. A non-magnetic partition separates the inductive sensor from the side chamber.

  • Patent number: 4639159
Abstract: A device for attaching a bellows to a cylindrical member, particularly a ball pin of a rack articulation for automotive vehicles. In order to permit a nonslippable attachment of the bellows even to unmachined pins which vary slightly in diameter, it is proposed to arrange between the bellows and the ball pin an annular disk having a closed outer edge and an inner edge which is interrupted by radially extending slots, the inner edge consisting of a plurality of resilient segments which are bent alternately in opposite directions and are pre-stressed against the ball pin.

  • Patent number: 4571110
Abstract: A ball joint for connecting rod parts having a ball socket (1) of flexible plastic at the end of a shaft (2) in order to receive a ball head (4). In order to facilitate the assembling of the ball joint while retaining the customary pulling-out forces, it is proposed that a wall section of the ball socket (1) be developed as a yoke-shaped part (5, 12) developed in one piece thereon, which can be engaged together with the ball head (4) into the ball socket (1).
