Abstract: A detergent composition containing by weight (a) from 5 to 35% of an anionic or nonionic surfactant, (b) from 10 to 40% of finely crystalline zeolite, (c) from 4 to 20% of alkali metal silicate or carbonate and from 0.1 to 5% of (d) aminoalkanephosphonate or (d2) copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid and maleic acid and (e) from 5 to 80% of other detergent constituents is considerably improved in regard to its incrustation-inhibiting properties if it additionally contains (f) from 0.05 to 1% (based on the free acid) of 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid in the form of its alkali metal salt. The weight ratio of (d1) to (f) is from 3:1 to 1:6 and of (d2) to (f) is from 40:1 to 2:1.

Abstract: Detergents on the basis of anionic and nonionic surfactants contain as laundering power-enhancing additives an aliphatic amine compound which is selected such that its pK.sub.b value is at least equal to 14, minus the initial pH value of a 1% aqueous solution of the detergent containing the amine compound. Laundering power-enhancing amine compounds selected according to the rule mentioned are certain ether amines, amidoamines, glucamine derivatives or morpholine derivatives.

Abstract: A detergent for washing mixtures of colored and white or light colored fabrics comprising a mixture of a monionic surfactant, a completely or partially water-soluble polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymeric constituent, a water-soluble cationic compound, a builder salt and other standard detergent ingredients. The detergent is substantially free of anionic-active compounds and strong electrolytes and is effective in preventing the transfer of dyes and optical brighteners between fabrics during washing.

Abstract: A liquid, readily pourable detergent concentrate having fabric-softening properties is free from builder salts and contains the following constituents: (a) from about 5 to about 15% by weight of sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate, (b) from about 7 to about 20% by weight of ethoxylated alcohols containing from 12 to 18 carbon atoms in the alcohol residue and from 5 to 10 glycol ether groups, (c) from about 6 to about 16% by weight, based on the weight of the fatty acids used to form the soap, of saturated or monounsaturated fatty acids containing from 12 to 18 C-atoms, present as a water-soluble soap, (d) from about 7 to about 15% by weight of a fatty acid diethanolamide derived from C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 fatty acids of which at least 50% are monounsaturated, (e) from about 0.2 to about 3% by weight of sequestering agents, (f) from about 5 to about 15% by weight of low molecular weight alcohols and from about 25 to about 45% by weight of water.

Abstract: A detergent having improved detergency particularly with respect to greasy soil comprising (a) a mixture of water-insoluble nonionic surfactants, (b) a water-soluble anionic surfactant of the sulfonate or sulfate type, (c) a detergent builder and (d) other standard detergent ingredients. The nonionic surfactant comprises a mixture of (i) an ethoxylated C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 alcohol with 4 to 6 glycolether groups, (ii) an ethoxylated C.sub.10 -C.sub.14 alcohol with 4 to 6 glycolether groups and (iii) an ethoxylated C.sub.10 -C.sub.18 alkylamine with 1 to 3 glycolether groups. The nonionic surfactant is adsorbed on a granular carrier material which is soluble or dispersible in water. The weight ratio of constituent (i) to constituent (ii) to constituent (iii) is within the range of 1:2(2-6):(0.8-2.5) and the weight ratio of the nonionic surfactant to the anionic surfactant is within the range of 4:1 to 4:3.

Abstract: Improved detergent compositions for colored fabrics containing an acylcyanamide salt and a water-soluble organic polymer whose monomers have more than one amino group, and which are substantially or completely free of strong electrolytes.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a process for the antimicrobial treatment of textiles during washing and softening cycles using liquid textile washing agents based upon nonionic tensides and containing fabric-softening quaternary nitrogen compounds, wherein one or more antimicrobially active azole compounds are added to the textile washing agent or to the bath.

Abstract: This invention relates to detergent compositions comprising at least one nonionic and/or zwitterionic tenside and from about 0.5 to 10 percent by weight of polysaccharide amino ethers having quaternary ammonium groups. Builder salts and other conventionally used detergent compositions may also be present. These detergent compositions have sizing and stiffening properties and make a secondary treatment of washed textiles unnecessary.

Abstract: Stable, pumpable, aqueous suspensions of water-insoluble, calcium-binding aluminosilicates suitable as stock suspensions comprising (A) from 20% to 55% by weight of at least one finely-divided, water-insoluble silicate compound having a calcium-binding power of at least 50 mg CaO/gm of anhydrous active substance and having the formula, combined water not shown(M.sub.2/n O).sub.x.Me.sub.2 O.sub.3.(SiO.sub.2).sub.ywhere M is a cation of the valence n, exchangeable with calcium, x is a number of from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is aluminum or boron, and y is a number from 0.8 to 6, (B) from 0.2% to 5% by weight of at least one organic dispersing agent as follows:lower alkylene oxide or glycide adducts of the reaction product of .epsilon.-caprolactam with an N-mono- or di-higher alkyl/alkenyl-alkylenediamine.

Abstract: A surface-active compound combination for use in textile washing agent compositions consisting essentially of(1) at least one tenside of the anionic sulfonate or sulfate type or non-ionic ethoxylated type, and(2) at least one hydroxyalkylamine having vicinal oxygen and nitrogen bridging atoms, ethoxylated/propoxylated derivatives thereof, acylated derivatives thereof, or ethoxylated/propoxylated acylated derivatives thereof, where the amount of component (1) to component (2) is in the weight ratio of 100:1 to 1:1. The surface-active compound composition is useful in preparation of low temperature detergents and low phosphate detergents.

Abstract: Cold-water active washing agent compositions comprising(a) from 0.3% to 2.5% by weight of an N-substituted-.omega.-hydroxyalkane carboxylic acid amide obtained by reacting substantially equimolar amounts of an N-(C.sub.8-20 -alkyl)-di-amino-C.sub.2-6 -alkane with a lactone having 4 to 7 ring atoms,(b) a tenside mixture of anionic tensides of the sulfonate and/or sulfate type and/or zwitterionic tensides, optionally together with soaps and/or nonionic tensides, in an amount sufficient to give a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of from 1:50 to 1:2, preferably 1:20 to 1:2, and(c) a powdery or liquid carrier selected from the group of powdery organic and inorganic builders, of water-soluble lower alkanols, alkanediols, alkoxyalkanols, and alkoxyalkoxyalkanols, and of water, said component (c) being present in an amount of from 50% to 99.1% by weight and, in the case of powdery carriers, also may include a powdery bleaching component.

Abstract: This invention relates to N,N'-disubstituted thioureas of the formula ##SPC1##Where X represents CO, SO.sub.2 or CH.sub.2, R' represents lower alkyl, a heterocycle or a possibly substituted phenyl, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 represent hydrogen, lower alkyl, chlorine, bromine, nitro and carboxyl; as well as their methods of production and their use as antimicrobial substances, particularly against gram positive bacteria.
