  • Publication number: 20230088952
Abstract: A process can be used for preparing a polymer coated hard-shell capsule, filled with a fill containing a biologically active ingredient. The hard-shell capsule contains a body and a cap, and in a closed state, the cap overlaps the body either in a pre-locked state or in a final-locked state. The material of the body and the cap contains an ethyl-, methyl-, or propyl-ether of cellulose, starch, or pullulan. The hard-shell capsule is coated with a coating layer that covers the hard-shell capsule in the pre-locked state. The coating layer contains one or more (meth)acrylate copolymers, where the coating layer is present in an amount of about 1 to 5.8 mg/cm2. The process involves providing the polymer-coated hard-shell capsule in the pre-locked state to a capsule-filling machine, separating the body and the cap, filling the body with the fill, and rejoining the body and the cap in the final-locked state.

  • Publication number: 20210361585
Abstract: A process prepares a polymer-coated hard shell capsule, suitable as container for pharmaceutical or nutraceutical biologically active ingredients. The hard shell capsule can include a body and a cap. In the closed state, the cap overlaps the body either in a pre-locked state or in a final-locked state. The hard shell capsule can be provided in the pre-locked state and spray-coated with a coating solution, suspension, or dispersion that includes a polymer or a mixture of polymers to create a coating layer which covers the outer surface of the hard shell capsule in the pre-locked state.

  • Patent number: 5830129
Abstract: A process for measuring parameters of organs and tissues, especially blood flow through an organ, particularly the liver, is based on a medical technology apparatus that can be constructed in modular fashion. The preferred process uses the hydrogen clearance method to determine blood flow. The preferred apparatus includes at least one measuring instrument and at least one measuring or therapy sensor that is detachable from that instrument. Additional connecting elements make it possible to construct an individually adapted measurement array. For a monitoring and checking operation, both the sensors or therapy heads, and the various connecting elements are equipped with electronic code elements which can be systematically read and evaluated by at least one of the measuring instruments used.

  • Patent number: 3974551
Abstract: Thread clamp for a warp end tying-in machine. In such a clamp, cam control means mechanically related to the remainder of the machine are provided for positively opening the clamps in order that the thread may be inserted therein without hindrance. The clamp is thereupon permitted to close and the mechanical means retracted therefrom in order that the clamp may be held in closed condition solely by the tension of adjustable resilient means applied thereto. With the mechanical means remaining inoperative with respect to the clamp, same is moved through a conventional operating cycle and back to its point of beginning. Mechanical means are thereupon again activated to open the clamp against the urging of said spring whereby the thread may be removed without restriction therefrom.
