Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for detoxicating, aerating, drying and sterilizing clothing articles. A drying chamber is provided which has an inner chamber in which the clothing articles are to be hung. A first intermediate chamber and a second intermediate chamber are provided in the walls defining the inner chamber through which air is caused to flow. A heater is provided for heating air drawn in from the room and, if preferred, a condenser may be provided for removing moisture from the air after it has passed through the inner chamber. Air may be recirculated within the drying chamber by use of the condenser, or fresh air may flow through the condenser to provide a cooling air stream to the condenser, while heated moist air flows separately through the condenser to remove heat and moisture before the air is exhausted back into the room.

Abstract: A process for drying and sterilizing items, such as laundry articles, bed clothing, leather goods, hair care instruments, medical instruments, etc., in a cabinet having an internal air circuit and an external air circuit which are in contact with one another through a condensation and refrigeration unit thereby permitting drying of an article at a warm air temperature not exceeding 100.degree. Abstract: The present invention provides a method of drying flat material, particularly laundry or washing, within a drying cabinet wherein air is aspirated from the exterior, compressed and heated, passes through the drying cabinet with the material disposed therein, and thereafter exhausted, with the drying air flowing against said material from the one side of the interior of said cabinet while being directed against the edges of said material, and with the air being discharged at the opposite side of the interior of said cabinet, whereupon the drying air is cooled in a condenser and, finally, either exhausted from the cabinet or re-used for drying after having been heated again, as well as a drying cabinet for carrying out such method and including improved suspension means of the rods or bars from which the laundry is suspended.
