  • Patent number: 4367771
Abstract: The connecting part for electrical warp stop motions on weaving machines has two rectangular housing shells (2,3) pressed against each other at their open sides by means of a threaded pin (10) screwed into the first housing shell (2). The screw-head of the threaded pin is in the shape of a knob (11) and presses against the second housing shell (3). In the longitudinal sides (4,6) of both housing shells (2,3) are supporting slots (9) at equal distances to take up the contact bars. On the interior base (12,15) of each housing shell (2,3) is a strip (13,16) of elastic material and on each strip a contact foil (14,17) for conducting electricity to all the contact bars, the narrow edges of which have perfect contact with the contact foils, even at varying height resulting from deviations in manufacture, due to the elastic material under them.

  • Patent number: 4184843
Abstract: A composition for dyeing human hair, in which a dispersion dye, preferably of the azo or anthraquinone type, is dispersed in an emulsified aqueous mixture comprising a paraffin component and a thickening agent component and adjusted to a pH not higher than 8 by addition of acid. The thickening agent component comprises fatty alcohols such as lauryl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, cetyl-stearyl alcohol or mixtures thereof, fatty acid esters such as isopropyl alcohol and a mixture of fatty acid mono- and diglycerides. The desired viscosity is imparted to the composition by adjusting the proportion of the paraffin component relative to the thickening agent component. An emulsifying agent, such as high-ethoxylated polyglycol ethers and diethanolamine phosphates may be added to create an emulsion of desired viscosity and permanence.

  • Patent number: 4056142
Abstract: A heat exchange arrangement for use with chemically aggressive fluids has a source of direct current. Walls are provided which define a flow path for a fluid which is to undergo a temperature change, and at least a part of the walls is composed of a metallic material and connected to one of the terminals of the current source. The walls also form a chamber constituting a part of the flow path and having an opening which is closed by a cover. The cover is constituted as an electrode which is arranged in the flow path and is not in direct contact with the metallic part of the wall. This electrode is connected to the other terminal of the current source. The construction is effective for forming a protective coating on at least the metallic part of the wall when the current source is activated and fluid flows in the flow path. This protective coating prevents chemical attack of the metal by the fluid.
