  • Patent number: 4623709
Abstract: Polyurethane prepolymers in which polyhydric alcohols are initially reacted with the faster reacting isocyanate group of an asymmetrical diisocyanate with the slowly reacting group remaining intact, after which the reaction products are combined with a symmetrical diisocyanate of which the equally reactive isocyanate groups again react more quickly than the slowly reacting groups of the first polyfunctional isocyanate compound. The products obtained by this process are distinguished by a low residual monomer content.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 11, 1985
Date of Patent: November 18, 1986
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
    Inventor: Hans Bauriedel
  • Patent number: 4487910
Abstract: Process for the production of polyurethane prepolymers based on monocyclic and dicyclic diisocyanates, in which a prepolymer based on a dicyclic diisocyanate is produced in a prepolymer based on a monocyclic diisocyanate of comparatively lower reactivity. The products obtained by this process contain terminal isocyanate groups and are distinguished by a reduced content of free monomeric diisocyanates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 9, 1984
Date of Patent: December 11, 1984
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
    Inventor: Hans Bauriedel
  • Patent number: 4184005
Abstract: A process for the production of laminated films employing a two component non-solvent adhesive system, which comprises the steps of applying a thin film of at least one polyether having at least two terminal isocyanate groups and a molecular weight between 2000 and 5000 to one of two films to be bonded together, applying a thin film of at least one long chain compound having at least two reactive terminal amino groups to the other film to be bonded, the application of both thin films being in such amounts that the molar ratio of isocyanate groups to amine groups is from 1:1 to 5:1 and the two components together being present in an amount of 0.5 to 5.0 gm/m.sup.2, pressing the coated sides of the two coated films together and recovering said laminated films.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 1978
Date of Patent: January 15, 1980
Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien (Henkel KGaA)
    Inventors: Hans Bauriedel, Rainer Hasenkamp
