  • Patent number: 11884514
Abstract: A method and device for safety braking an elevator having an upright guide rail wherein the device includes a housing having braking elements on both sides of and being movable along the guide rail, a safety restraint on both sides between the housing and the braking elements, and a clampable and lockable actuating device that unlocks and unclamps in response to a triggering event and brings the braking elements into braking engagement with the guide rail. The actuating device, when unclamped, develops a feed force and movement transverse to the guide rail longitudinal axis engaging the braking elements with the guide rail from a laterally distanced initial position, wherein the braking elements are entrained by frictional contact on the guide rail and enter the safety restraint, and wherein the actuating device is moved back into the initial position, clamped and locked by the braking elements located in the safety restraint.

  • Publication number: 20220177272
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for safety braking for an elevator (1) having an upright guide rail (3). The safety brake device (4) comprises a housing (5) having braking elements (6, 7) which are arranged on both sides of the guide rail (3) and are movable along the guide rail (3), a safety restraint (8) on both sides between the housing (5) and the braking elements (6, 7), and a clampable and lockable actuating device (9) for the braking elements (6, 7), which unlocks and unclamps in response to a triggering event and brings the braking elements (6, 7) into braking engagement with the guide rail (3).

  • Patent number: 9373209
Abstract: A command can be input into a system using a data carrier such as, for example, a card. The command is determined based on the orientation of the data carrier relative to a reader of the system. Different commands can be input by changing the orientation of the data carrier.

  • Publication number: 20150024891
Abstract: An elevator system includes a car or platform to transport passengers and/or goods as well as a counterweight, which are arranged as traversable or movable along a travel path, and which are coupled and/or with a drive by a suspension element interrelating their motion. The suspension element is guided and/or driven by a traction sheave and/or a drive shaft and/or a deflecting pulley. The suspension element is a sheathed and/or belt-type, with a first layer made of a first plasticizable and/or elastomeric material and a second layer with a connection plane formed between the first and second layers. At least one tension member—rope-type, tissue-type, or comprising a multitude of partial elements—is embedded in an area of the connection plane, a majority of a surface of said at least one tension member directly contacting said first layer. A manufacturing procedure for one of the suspension elements is provided.

  • Patent number: 8348019
Abstract: In an elevator element for driving or reversing an elevator suspension device in an elevator system, that interacts with an elevator suspension device, the arithmetic mean of the roughness value of the contact surface measured in the circumferential direction of the elevator element, and the mean roughness value of the contact surface measured in the axial direction of the elevator element, are different. The arithmetic mean roughness value of the contact surface measured in the circumferential direction of the elevator element is less than 1 micrometer.

  • Patent number: 5146682
Abstract: A hand-held circular saw is designed so that a fan exhaust air from a fan wheel is introduced into a sawdust duct along the shortest path in a duct arranged inside a gearing housing, in order to reinforce a conveying of saw dust in the sawdust duct. The fan air is fed parallel to the movement direction of the sawdust, effects a vacuum in the sawdust duct and prevents stoppage of the duct.
