  • Patent number: 11704834
Abstract: Techniques for calibrating cameras and displays are disclosed. An image of a target is captured using a camera. The target includes a tessellation having a repeated structure of tiles. The target further includes unique patterns superimposed onto the tessellation. Matrices are formed based on pixel intensities within the captured image. Each of the matrices includes values each corresponding to the pixel intensities within one of the tiles. The matrices are convolved with kernels to generate intensity maps. Each of the kernels is generated based on a corresponding unique pattern of the unique patterns. An extrema value is identified in each of the intensity maps. A location of each of the unique patterns within the image is determined based on the extrema value for each of the intensity maps. A device calibration is performed using the location of each of the unique patterns.

  • Patent number: 10984219
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for fingerprint capture and verification are described. A camera is utilized to capture a set of images at a first resolution. A focal length for at least one object in the plurality of images is verified to be greater than a minimum focus threshold. The images are converted to corresponding binary images. A finger is identified in the one or more binary images. A still image of the finger is captured at a second and higher resolution. Image processing filters are applied to the still image to generate a fingerprint image which is transmitted to an application server for verification.

  • Patent number: 10885371
Abstract: A mobile apparatus is provided that includes an image sensor for converting an optical image into an electrical signal. The optical image includes an image of a vehicle license plate. The mobile apparatus includes a license plate detector configured to process the electrical signal to recover information from the vehicle license plate image. Upon capturing of the video that includes the image, a device operation instructor will dynamically determine a highest score of assigned object image scores for each frame of the video generate an operation adjustment control if the determined highest score is less than a predetermined score threshold, which is in turn dynamically displayed during continuous capture of the video by the image sensor.
