  • Patent number: 5327890
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a patient with acoustic waves has a source of acoustic waves and an X-ray locating system, which includes an X-ray radiator and a radiation detector, which are mounted opposite each other on a C-arm. The C-arm is adjustable along its outer circumference around its central axis. The source of acoustic waves is adjustable along the inner circumference of the C-arm such that the acoustic axis of the acoustic wave source constantly intersects the central axis of the C-arm.

  • Patent number: 5008921
Abstract: A portable x-ray diagnostics apparatus has a base to which a support for an x-ray tube and an x-ray detector is mounted at a front of the base. A control panel for operating the x-ray apparatus is electrically connected to compnents in the interior of the base by a flexible cable. The length of the cable permits the position of the control panel relative to the base to be selected as being at a rear of the base, or at either side of the base, so that the control panel can be positioned so as to be easily read or reached by a user. The top surface of the base may have recesses therein adapted to receive and releasably hold the control panel in the various positions, or the control panel may be magnetically held on the top surface at a selected position.

  • Patent number: 4964152
Abstract: A portable x-ray diagnostics apparatus has a radiation receiver mounted at one end of a height-adjustable column by a support mount. The lower, opposite end of the column is attached to a wheeled base of the apparatus. A height-adjustment mechanism is provided inside the column and the base which permits the height of the x-radiator above the base to be adjusted without an electromotive drive, and such that the force exerted for adjusting the height of the column is substantially the same over the entire adjustment path. For this purpose, one end of a cable is connected at a location inside the lower end of the column, and the cable is guided around various deflection elements, with the opposite end being attached in the base of the apparatus. A weight compensating force is provided by a spring connected to one of the deflection elements, with the spring being horizontally tensed in the base of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4926456
Abstract: An x-ray examination table comprises a table mounted on a pedestal which has a control box containing control elements for the device. The control box is displaceable in a longitudinal direction to the table so that a physician can easily reach the control elements in the control box given examination in the head area of the patient which is opposite to the position of the pedestal.

  • Patent number: 4866752
Abstract: The invention relates to an X-ray examination apparatus comprising a vertical pillar at which a truck carrying an X-ray system is longitudinally displaceable. The pillar is a closed box profile and includes a U-shaped depression proceeding in longitudinal direction at each of two parallel long sides lying opposite one another, whereby the depressions serve as rails for the truck longitudinally displaceable on the pillar.

  • Patent number: 4776243
Abstract: A power tong assembly wherein a safety latch mechanism includes a power part equipped with two outlet side connections, one of which is connected to a control part for controlling the opening cross section of the tank side connection. The power part has a control element in the form of a piston-shaped valve body with equal sized surfaces on both end faces subject to the pressure of the working medium and with a bore running in the direction of the valve body movement. This bore has a conical extension of its inlet flow end. This blocks the direct connection of the supply with the return to the tank.

  • Patent number: 4492134
Abstract: A power tongs for threadedly connecting together pipes which are to constitute casings for boreholes has a platform for a reciprocable slide which supports a power-driven threading clamp and a counter device. The clamp and the counter device are connected to each other by several level compensating hydraulic cylinders each of which is movable horizontally within limits relative to the slide against the opposition of resilient support elements. The upper end portions of the cylinders are connected to a holding plate for the clamp.
