Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be identical to or different from each other, are each hydrogen, halogen, branched alkyl of 3 to 12 carbon atoms or cycloalkyl of 3 to 12 carbon atoms, provided, however, that at least one of R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 is other than hydrogen; the compounds are useful as dermatologics for the treatment of psoriasis, dandruff, ichthyosis and hyperkeratotic skin conditions.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical, cosmetic and pesticidal compositions containing a trifluoroacetyl-resorcinol of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.4, which may be identical to or different from each other, are each hydrogen or methyl, andR.sub.3 and R.sub.5, which may be identical to or different from each other, are each hydrogen or ethyl.

Abstract: Topical dermatological compositions containing an acylamino-carboxylic acid compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, trifluoromethyl, phenyl, halo-phenyl, nitro-phenyl or biphenylyl,R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms,R.sub.3 is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, methylthio-(alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms) or benzyl,R.sub.4 is alkyl of 10 to 22 carbon atoms,n is 0, 1 or 2,R.sub.5 is alkyl of 8 to 22 carbon atoms, phenyl or biphenylyl, andR.sub.6 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms; the compositions are useful for the care of the skin.
