  • Patent number: 5109555
Abstract: A scoop litter that permits the passage of X-rays along the side of a patient on the litter. Only the end pieces and the connecting elements of the litter are made of metal. This has the advantage that X-rays may be taken from both the vertical as well as the lateral plane of a patient lying on the litter. Such aspect is particularly advantageous in cases of spinal injuries.

  • Patent number: 4703666
Abstract: The linear drive device has two motors (M.sub.1,M.sub.2) firmly arranged relative to each other, one driving the nut (10), the other driving the screw spindle (20), whereby the nut (10) driven by motor (M.sub.1) is mounted axially firmly relative to the motor (M.sub.1), whereas the screw spindle (20) is driven by motor (M.sub.2) through the intermediate of a non-rotating, but axially shiftable coupling element (21).

  • Patent number: 4614128
Abstract: The linear drive device operates with two motors which are mounted on the outer ends of two housing parts which are locked against rotation and can be telescopically moved into each other. A motor drives a nut over a driving sleeve. The other motor drives a threaded rod. By means of this design, a compact drive device is procured in the case of which all mechanical parts are located inside of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4494025
Abstract: The linear feed device is suitable for extremely slow feed rates or extremely small feed steps. It works with two motors (M.sub.1, M.sub.2) which drive a nut (16) and a screw spindle (2) via an intermediate drive (12-15; 22-25). The intermediate drives have slightly different transmission ratios, e.g., 1:0.340909 and 1:0.3414634.With a thread pitch of 2 mm of the spindle, this results, with the same direction of rotation of the motors, in about 0.0013 mm advance per revolution of the motor shafts. With the help of step motors, therefore, extremely small advance steps can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 4458370
Abstract: A device for adjusting the angular position of a movable support has two frames which are pivotally connected to each other along a pivot axis and are capable of being moved apart by the action of pretensioned torsion spring rods provided near the pivot axis so that the two frames assume variable angular positions with respect to each other. The movable support frame in its upwardly directed angular position may serve as a supporting surface for a mattress at the head end of a bed frame. To effect angular adjustment, two steel cables fastened to one frame are trained over pulleys disposed on the other frame and are guided to a pivot lever pivotably attached to the other frame and are actuated by an electric motor. As the motor is operative, the steel cables cause the frames to be pulled in one direction toward each other against the action of the torsion spring rods and the pneumatic springs.

  • Patent number: 4029208
Abstract: A cassette type receptacle is provided with two sets of parallel internal grooves, one set extending lengthwise at one side of the receptacle and the other set of grooves extending lengthwise at the opposite side of the receptacle. Printed boards are insertable through an opening at one end of the receptacles into the spaces between the grooves so as to be closely retained against edgewise displacement but with some lateral play within the grooves. A lid for the end opening hermetically seals the interior of the receptacle.
