  • Patent number: 10051872
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically recovering flesh from beheaded and gutted fish, comprising a transport device for transporting the fish tail-first along a transport path in transport direction T, and a separating device (14) for separating the flesh from the bone structure, wherein the separating device has at least two rotatably driven and controllable circular knives arranged at a distance from each other on mutually opposing sides of the transport path in order to form a gap S. The two circular knives are designed to be pivoted about an axis I, II that differs from a horizontal orientation, wherein the axes I, II are oriented in such a way that, by pivoting the circular knives about the axes I and II, the point P of the smallest gap size between the circular knives can be positioned differently from the lowest knife point M of the two circular knives.

  • Patent number: 8272928
Abstract: An apparatus to separate a fillet attached to a backbone of a beheaded, slaughtered fish having an open abdominal cavity previously cut by an abdominal knife and a dorsal knife, by cutting through a web left round the backbone of the fish by the abdominal and dorsal knives. The apparatus includes a transport saddle to transport the previously cut fish in a direction of fish travel wherein the saddle includes an upper bone guide and a lower bone guide. The apparatus also includes a separating unit movable back and forth from a standby position into a working position. The separating unit has a separating device to detach the fillet from the backbone of the fish and a counter support associated with the separating device and arranged on the separating unit with the separating device.

  • Patent number: 7927194
Abstract: An apparatus to cut free flank bones of a beheaded, slaughtered fish having an open abdominal cavity includes a transport saddle to transport the fish in a direction of fish travel. The saddle includes an upper bone guide and a lower bone guide. The apparatus additionally includes a separating unit moveable back and forth from a standby position into a working position having a separating device and a counter support. The separating device includes a rotating circular knife to detach a fish fillet from the flank bones and the counter support includes a fixed element and is associated with the separating device. The counter support and separating device are movable about two axes, the fixed element being movable relative to the circular knife and independently thereof.

  • Patent number: 5149297
Abstract: It is suggested to modify a fish filleting machine in order to enable the gaining of fish sides which are different from fish fillets in that the ribs remain in the muscle flesh. In order to obtain such product at extremely favourable yield a conventional filleting machine comprising belly and back filleting tools for cutting up to the vertebral column as well as a conveyor advancing the fish saddled in the belly cavity with the tail leading is provided with a severing tool in such a manner that the circular knives forming this severing tool are controlled to move apart at the arrival of the conveying saddle of the conveyor so that this saddle can pass between the circular knives. The ribs of the fish supported on the conveying saddle are severed from the vertebral column in a manner that the flanks of the conveying saddle function as cutting counter-supports.

  • Patent number: 4508582
Abstract: A process for forming a strong, pressure-tight joint between fabric substrates includes coating each substrate with polyurethane on one side, superimposing the fabric substrates so that the polyurethane layers are together, welding elongated regions of the polyurethane together under heat and pressure and sewing through the weld. The edge is then folded over and bonded to itself and the material is spread out. The resulting material can be bonded to a sole to form a waterproof, lightweight boot.
