  • Patent number: 11249317
Abstract: A device for collimating a light radiation field of a light source (L) having a beam characteristic which is different in a first plane (FAC) from that of a second plane (SAC). The device comprises at least one first collimating lens (10) and a second collimating lens (20). The device has an additional optical element (30) in order to collimate the light radiation field in different planes to the first and to the second plane.

    Assignee: FISBA AG
Inventors: Hansruedi Moser, Hans Forrer, Martin Forrer, Michael Huber
  • Patent number: 10595940
Abstract: A laser system includes a collimator configured to output a collimated laser beam, a support member to which the collimator is mounted, and a linear rail along which the support member is movable in a first dimension such that the collimator, mounted to the support member, and the collimated laser beam, outputted from the collimator, are movable in the first dimension. The laser system further includes a lens positioned downstream of the collimator and configured to direct the collimated laser beam to a target location on a specimen.

  • Patent number: 4576529
Abstract: A multipurpose clamping device for a modular tool comprise first and second clamping jaw members each of which has a front face with an aligned modular tool clamping receiving opening. The jaw members include base portions with side rails extending therethrough at spaced lateral locations providing means facilitating the movement of the jaw members toward and away from each other without canting. The clamping device is associated with each opening to clamp the tool in position. The clamping device may be used as a vise by inserting a vise clamping jaw into each opening of each member and in such instance the spindle is advantageously threaded to each member to permit members to move upon driving of a threaded spindle member. The device may also be used for example as a support for a hand drill which may have its forwarded end inserted in the opening and clamped therein so as to line a tool receiving chuck therein which may be rotated and align it with a tailstock center carried by the other jaw member.

  • Patent number: 4572491
Abstract: A clamping device comprises an angle member carrying a clamping mechanism and a clamping band which is engaged by the clamping mechanism at one end and engages around and holds the workpieces to be joined firmly in contact with each other, and is attached, by its other end, to an anchor. The anchor may be provided on the angle member or on a tensioning angle member. To tension the band, the clamping mechanism is mounted on a slide 3 which is displaceable by a pulling means operating thereon and which comprises a screw and a nut.

  • Patent number: 4308347
Abstract: A device for the detection of microorganisms in a fluid sample comprising a first container a liquid nutrient medium and a second container containing one or more solid nutrient media, said containers being detachably connected so that the media can be brought into contact, is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method of detecting microorganisms in a fluid sample comprising introducing a sample of the fluid to be tested into a first container containing a liquid medium and incubating if desired; connecting said first container to a second container containing one or more solid media so that said media can be brought into contact; bringing the liquid and solid media into contact; incubating and determining the growth of microorganisms on the surface of the solid media.
