Patent number: 6857956Abstract: There is provided an airlock system utilizable with a protected Toxic Free Area (TFA) defined by an enclosure including spaced-apart first and second door arrangements, each door arrangement having an entrance and an exit and being divided by partitions into a plurality of sections, an airlock space coupled to, and bridging between, the first and second door arrangement, the exit of the second door being connectable to the protected TFA, while the first door arrangement having its entrance located outside the TFA, the arrangement being such that there is no direct airflow from the entrance of the first door arrangement to the exit of the second door arrangement. A method for facilitating entrance and egress from a Toxic Free Area (TFA) defined by an enclosure, without the danger of contamination of the protected TFA, is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2003Date of Patent: February 22, 2005Assignee: Filt Air Ltd.Inventor: Karl-Hans Fuchs

Patent number: 5897756Abstract: A device in the form of a flow cell for the chemical or electrolytic surface treatment of plate-shaped articles has first feed elements in the form of tubes with outlet openings for the directed supply of a process liquid to the articles to be treated and, in accordance with the invention, additional, second feed means in the process liquid for the directed introduction of air into the active area of guide elements, which consist of flow gratings, maintained at a distance on both sides of the articles to be treated, with small plates arranged in the manner of a shutter, which are inclined upward and downward in the direction parallel with the main plane of the flat plate articles. This principle of admixing air in connection with the design of the guide elements as flow gratings has the effect that the emerging air bubbles pass the flow gratings in an upward direction and carry the surrounding process liquid along.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1997Date of Patent: April 27, 1999Assignee: Lea Ronal GmbHInventor: Karl Hans Fuchs

Patent number: 5417117Abstract: The object of the invention is a procedure for vulcanization which includes a determination of the vulcanization coefficient of an elastomeric workpiece, and an apparatus for the application of the procedure. Prior art is the measurement of the rapture strength or the penetration depth of a needle and the calculation of the vulcanization coefficient from the measured value. The disadvantage is its restriction to the application for time-consuming measurements of samples taken at not too short intervals. Series testing is excluded. The task consists in defining a procedure which leaves the workpiece undestroyed and where the measuring time is so short that it can be applied in series; and in the development of the appropriate apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1992Date of Patent: May 23, 1995Assignee: Parker-Pradifa GmbHInventors: Peter Krumeich, Gerhard Streit, Hans Fuchs, Christian Strauss

Patent number: 4720986Abstract: Cap members are placed at the lower end of the perforated bottom spool sleeve and at the top end of the perforated top spool sleeve of a series of package-containing spools mounted at a perforated tube or sword. The cap members prevent, during treatment of the package-containing spools with a suitable treatment fluid or agent like, for example, a dyeing or bleaching fluid, the escape of such treatment fluid at each of the connecting locations between the perforated sleeve of the bottom spool and a base plate as well as between the perforated sleeve of the top spool and a chuck-type or clamping closure member. The end portions of the perforated sleeves are constructed such that no treatment fluid can escape at the connecting locations between the perforated sleeves of adjacent spools in the series of package-containing spools mounted at the associated perforated tube.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1985Date of Patent: January 26, 1988Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Scharer AGInventors: Hans Fuchs, Hans Baumgartner, Alfred Freitag

Patent number: 4037698Abstract: A centrifugal coupling for connecting a driven rotary component with another rotary component has a pair of flyweights mounted on the driven component for pivoting about pivot axes which are so spaced from one another transversely of the axis of rotation of the rotary component that straight lines intersecting the pivot and center of gravity of the respective flyweight will extend parallel to a plane of symmetry passing through the axis of rotation intermediate the flyweights when the coupling is in an operating position in which it centrifugally couples the two components for joint rotation.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1974Date of Patent: July 26, 1977Assignee: Olympia Werke AGInventors: Albert Rix, Hans Fuchs, Jens Onuscheit

Patent number: 3953090Abstract: An open top rectangular box sheet dispensing device fitted with spring follower for housing individual and separate memorandum sheets which are stacked within the device and are confined at the top sheet and at the rear wall surface by retaining elements located at the top and rear corners of the box housing to overlap the top of the stacked sheets. The sheets are each formed with recessed portions at each side of the sheet adjacent the back edge which fits under the retaining elements of open box dispenser and the box dispenser is provided with vertical guiding elements which fit into these recesses to maintain the sides of the sheets within proper alignment, thereby adapting easy filling of the dispenser while permitting writing over the entire sheet.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 1975Date of Patent: April 27, 1976Inventor: Hans Fuchs
