Abstract: The disclosed invention includes corticoid-17-alkylcarbonates substituted in the 17-position, a process for their preparation and pharmaceuticals containing them. These corticoid-17-alkylcarbonates have the following formula I ##STR1## where A is CHOH in any desired steric arrangement, C.dbd.O or CH.sub.2 ; Y is H, F, or Cl; Z is H, F or CH.sub.3 ; R(1) is O-acyl, carbonylalkyl, alkylsulfonate or arylsulfonate;R(2) is branched alkyl or (CH.sub.2).sub.2-4 --OCH.sub.3 andR(3) is H or methyl. They have excellent local and topical antiinflammatory action. They are distinguished by a particularly good ratio of local to systemic antiinflammatory activity and in some cases also show stronger local antiinflammatory activities than their isomeric corticoid-17-alkylcarbonates having a linear alkyl group in the 17-alkylcarbonate moiety.

Abstract: 1-(1-Aryl-2-hydroxyethyl)-imidazoles and salts thereof, processes for the preparation thereof, medicaments containing these compounds, and the use thereof.The invention relates to 1-(1-aryl-2-hydroxyethyl)-imidazoles of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, Q, W, X and Y have the meanings specified, and also to medicaments based on these compounds, in particular those having an antimycotic and an antidepressive action.

Abstract: Arylmethylazoles of the formula I ##STR1## in which Aryl is (substituted) phenyl or naphthyl;Z is CH or N;R.sup.1 and Q are H or alkyl;R.sup.2 is H, alk(en)yl or alkynyl;R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are H, alkyl or other hydrocarbons; orR.sup.3 and R.sup.4 together are a --(CH.sub.2).sub.2-11 chain or a bridged --(CH.sub.2).sub.4-5 chain, and their acid addition salts, stereoisomers and optically active enantiomers possess outstanding antimycotic and antidepressant activity.They are obtained, inter alia, from arylmethylazoles II ##STR2## which are reacted with a strong base and then with a carbonyl compound III O.dbd.CR.sup.3 R.sup.4 ; thereafter, the product is reacted with the protic acid or with an alkyl halide IV R.sup.2 Hal.If desired, the products are converted to the acid addition salts, or the stereoisomers or optically active enantiomers are resolved.

Abstract: New peptide amides of the formula IH--Tyr--D--Lys(For)--Gly--X (I)whereinFor is formyl,X is alkylamino, dehydro-Phe or Phe-alkylamido having up to 6 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety, which moiety may be substituted by hydroxy and/or phenyl, Phe-cycloalkylamide or Phe-cycloalkylene amide having up to 8 carbon atoms in the cycloalkyl or cyclalkylene moiety, 1 to 2 CH.sub.2 groups being optionally replaced by --NH--, --O--, --S-- or --CO--, Phe-alkylene-cycloalkylamide having from 5 to 6 ring carbon atoms, which amide may be substituted by carbonamido,N-alkylcarbonamido or alkyl and 1 carbon atom whereof may be replaced by nitrogen, Phe-endo- or exo-norbornylamide or Phe-thiazolamide or Phe-thiazolidine-carboxylic acid amide, which may be substituted by 1 to 4 methyl groups each,and process for their manufacture are disclosed. These peptide amides are distinguished by an analgetic activity and suppress the motility of the ileum of the guinea pig.

Abstract: What is disclosed is corticoid 17-(alkyl carbonates) of the formula ##STR1## as defined in the specification, which compounds can be used in veterinary therapy and human therapy, in the form of suspensions, ointments, creams, sprays and the like, for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses of very diverse cause.
