  • Patent number: 7234363
Abstract: The invention relates to a mass flow meter for flowing media, which operates according to the Coriolis principle. At least one oscillator and at lest one sensor that detects Coriolis forces and/or oscillations based on Coriolis forces are mounted on a Coriolis measuring tube. As evaluation unit determines a measured flow valve from the measurement signal of the sensor. Means are provided which make it possible to detect zero flow in the measuring tube regardless of the detection of Coriolis forces and/or oscillations based on Coriolis forces and generate a corresponding measurement signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 29, 2004
Date of Patent: June 26, 2007
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Hans-Georg Kumpfmüller
  • Patent number: 7231827
Abstract: The pressure transducer provided with a measuring chamber is separated by a medium which is to be measured by a separation membrane. A piezoelectric element is arranged on the measuring chamber which is filled with silicone oil, thereby enabling the specific volume of said chamber to be modified. An adjustable path of the measuring signal is compared to a reference path and considerable deviations indicate an error on the membrane. As a result, the state of the separation membrane can be monitored when the pressure transducer is in the installed state.
