  • Patent number: 7168556
Abstract: The invention relates to a curved assembly line and/or conveyor belt, especially for assembling and transporting motor vehicles or motor vehicle parts during production, said line or belt being formed by articulated carrier elements that positively engage in each other and respectively comprise an upper platform and a lower carrier frame and have convex and concave front surfaces with identical curvature radii. The aim of the invention is to enable an essentially tangential orientation of the platforms in the curved region with a simple course of displacement and low control costs.

Date of Patent: January 30, 2007
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 6983838
Abstract: The invention relates to a modular construction system for a conveyor for conveying article carriers longitudinally or transversely, having lateral longitudinal carriers, having transverse frame elements which connect these longitudinal carriers, and having driven load-bearing conveying means for the article carriers. The object of the present invention is to provide a modular construction system which is significantly improved in relation to prior-art solutions in respect of production costs, assembly and installation costs, process costs and the delivery time for the conveyor. In order to achieve the object, it is proposed that the longitudinal carrier, which accommodates the conveying means, is a respective torsionally rigid hollow aluminum or plastic profile which can be connected in a releasable manner to the transverse frame element and is designed for optionally accommodating driven load-bearing rollers or insertable sliding plates for a load-bearing belt.

  • Patent number: 6571970
Abstract: A load carrier for supporting, raising or lowering a load includes a frame member, a telescoping mast, and a support frame. The frame member is adapted for being movably supported by a rail. The telescoping mast is supported by the frame member, with the support frame supported by the telescoping mast. The telescoping mast includes at least one fixed mast section and at least one movable mast section, with the support frame being coupled to the movable mast section. The movable mast section is supported for movement between a plurality of extended positions in which the support frame is lowered and raised with respect to the frame member and the fixed mast section with the movable mast section being guided by the fixed mast section when the movable mast section is moved to its extended position. The driver selectively moves the movable mast section to its extended position and includes at least one cord for raising and lowering the movable mast section.
