  • Patent number: 5626220
Abstract: The invention concerns a bucket conveyor in which the outer and inner links (5, 6) of the sprocket chain are connected to the buckets (1) by connector bars (2) and bushings (7, 9) which are inserted into the outer links and which, in addition, enclose the ends of link pins (10) that carry the inner links (6) via a common bushing (8) associated with them.

  • Patent number: 5533938
Abstract: In a pocket chain wheel having two groups of pockets (1) for chain links (5) passing the wheel at a tilt, said groups of pockets being arranged side by side in a view perpendicular to the wheel axis (3), the bases (2) of the pockets (1) are shaped such that those legs (4) of the chain links (5) which face the wheel axis (3) are supported, within the pockets (1), only in the curved regions of the transition of the nose ends (6) of the chain links (5) into their legs (4) respectively facing the wheel axis (3). In this way, the stress upon those legs (4) of the chain links which face the wheel axis (3) is significantly relieved and an increase achieved in the service life of said chain links.

  • Patent number: 4571934
Abstract: In a chain with chain links of round material, the chain links have, in the region of their contact points, supporting arcs (7,8) with a supporting arc angle .alpha. of 180.degree. and a radius of curvature R.sub.s of 0.5 to 0.52 d, d being the diameter of the round material. On the side of the unwelded leg (3) of the chain link, the supporting arcs (7,8) are connected by a boundary line (9) of the clear inner space (6) of the chain link, which boundary line has an arcuate indentation (11), while the supporting arcs on the side of the welded leg (4) of the chain link are connected by a substantially straight boundary line. The greatest inner width b.sub.1max of the chain link is at most equal to 1.15 times the diameter d of the round material.

  • Patent number: 4505103
Abstract: In a chain joint which consists of two identical, essentially U-shaped joint halves (1,2), the outer legs (3) and the inner legs (4) of the joint halves are provided with holding teeth (14-16 and 17-19 respectively). The holding teeth are here designed with unequal thickness, in such a way that certain pairs of holding teeth (15, 18) absorb a greater load than the other pairs of holding teeth (14,19,16,17). Due to the chosen arrangement, those zones of the outer legs (3) which are located most closely to the shackle base (9) of the joint halves (1,2) are noticeably relieved, and a premature rupture of the chain joint is prevented in this way.

  • Patent number: 4320620
Abstract: In an arrangement for fastening a structural part (1) to a round steel chain by means of two webs (3,6) which overlap the long sides (19,20) of a chain link (9) and bridge the gap between said long sides (19,20) a centering member (5) is used which centering member is provided with a bore (12) and parallel side faces (10,11) having a spacing from one another which is approximately equal to the width of the gap between the long sides (19,20) of the chain link (9) partially overlapped by the webs (3,6). At least one web (3) being provided with a guide (4) which holds the centering member (5) in a prescribed position.

  • Patent number: 4320827
Abstract: For fixing conveyor elements (7) to the chain strands (5, 6) in a chain conveyor having two chain strands (5, 6) running over sprockets (1, 3), pairs of projections (11, 12) are used which grip one chain link (10) in each case and which, on assembly or dismantling of the conveyor elements (7), can move relative to one another on the tensioned chain strands (5, 6) but are locked by fixing bolts (18) when in the operating position and which have an arcuate outline on the sides facing the fronts (8, 9) of the particular chain link (10) gripped.

  • Patent number: 4161100
Abstract: A replaceable centering piece in an attachment device for securing structural parts to a chain by means of a bolt and two flanges being clamped across the two arms of a chain link by said bolt, said replaceable centering piece having end walls which are in contact with the curved ends of two adjacent chain links which engage with the chain link carrying the attachment device.
