  • Publication number: 20130184239
Abstract: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a siloxane according to general formula (I)< wherein R means —C1-C6-alkyl; R1 and R2 each mean independently of one another —C1-C6-alkyl, or together form a (2n)-membered ring; and n is an integer of from 2 to 8; for use in combination with a pharmacologically active ingredient in the prophylaxis or treatment of a dental disorder.

  • Patent number: 5059121
Abstract: The device for spraying on a dental impression compound consists of a cylindrical handpiece (1) with a cartridge (5), situated inside it, for the provision of the impression compound, a curved and conically tapering headpiece (3), which can be mounted on the handpiece (1) by means of a bayonet joint or screw joint (2) and has a likewise conically tapering tubular cross-section (4), and a spray nozzle which is arranged on the headpiece (3) and designed as a two-phase nozzle (9, 10, 14). The supply of the impression compound to the spray nozzle takes place by means of an elastic hosepiece (7), at the front (distal) end of which a conical or pyramidal nozzle member (9) is arranged, which has air escape openings (11). At the same time the diameter of the nozzle member (9) must be greater than the smallest diameter of the conical tubular cross-section (4).

  • Patent number: 4324590
Abstract: The present invention provides a two-component composition for use to form a solvent-free fixing material suitable for use in dentistry, which fixing material is liquid at room temperature and has a viscosity in the range of from 5,000 to 100,000 cP, said compositions having: a first component comprising at least one organic polyisocyanate with aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bonded isocyanate groups; and a second component comprising (a) at least one polyhydroxy compound having a molecular weight in the range of from 200 to 20,000, being substantially free of ether groups, and having at least 2 aliphatically bonded OH groups and (b) from 1 to 60% by weight, relative to the total mixture, of monohydric and/or polyhydric alcohols with a molecular weight below 200 and/or from 0 to 40% by weight, relative to the total mixture, of oligomeric polyesters containing at least 2 OH groups or ester-diols, with an average molecular weight of from 100 to 500, the first and second components of the mixture being p

  • Patent number: 4302376
Abstract: The invention provides dental materials which are opaque to X-rays and are based on organic plastics in paste form, which comprises (a) a polymerizable binder, (b) a crosslinked bead polymer and (c) an X-ray contrast medium. The materials can also contain as an additional component (d) a fine-particled inorganic filler which is not opaque to X-rays. The materials are useful, inter alia, for filing dental cavities.
