  • Patent number: 6428112
Abstract: A cover for light-metal wheels during protracted transport is provided by a round, closed, and inherently rigid film moulding which engages over the outer face of the light-metal rim beyond the rim flange in a surface-covering manner. The cover is positively fastened centrally in wheel-side recesses by elevations integrally formed in the film moulding. A centering bore, known per se, is utilized for a more secure central fastening of the film moulding to the vehicle wheel. The film moulding carries, in its center, a cylindrical extension which is pressed into the centering bore of the vehicle wheel. The inner surface of the centering bore may have a circumferential groove of preferably trapezoidal cross section. The cylindrical extension of the film moulding carries circumferentially a plurality of catch noses which correspond in axial position and cross-sectional shape to the wheel-side circumferential groove and engage positively into the latter.

  • Patent number: 5992942
Abstract: A covering for air-permeable light-alloy rims of motor vehicles protects the disc brake lying behind against salt corrosion during overseas transport for long periods. In order to be able to fit such a covering easily and remove it again just as easily, but also to be able nevertheless to fasten it securely to the vehicle wheel, the covering is configured as an inherently rigid, round, closed molded sheet which reaches over the outer side of the light-alloy rim, covering its surface area, as far as over the rim flange. The covering is clasped centrally on the vehicle wheel by fastening studs molded into the molded sheet to the wheel bolts/nuts or the correspondingly countersunk depressions. The fastening studs are adapted in terms of number, position and shape to the wheel bolts or nuts themselves or to the countersunk depressions provided for this purpose in the rims. A grip for manually pulling the molded sheet off the light-alloy rim after use is molded on centrally in the molded sheet.

  • Patent number: 5830561
Abstract: A card, such as an ID card, is composed of the following layers: at least one core layer containing at least one first core component layer of a first composition, consisting of a polypropylene block polymer and/or polyropylene homopolymer or a mixture thereof and a second core component layer provided on at least the exterior face to which an outer layer has been laminated and is made of a second composition, consisting of unoriented polypropylene or an unoriented copolymer; at least one outer layer containing at least one outer component layer made of a third composition of polypropylene homopolymer and a second outer component layer provided on at least the exterior face with which the outer layer is laminated to the core layer and which contains a fourth composition of unoriented-polypropylene or an unoriented copolymer. The first and second core component and outer component layers are solidly connected with each other by coextrusion.

  • Patent number: 5307934
Abstract: In a blister pack for packaging an article and composed of a perforated lower plastic backing part and an upper, cut plastic cover part which at least partly surrounds and conforms closely to the article and is connected with the backing part so that the backing part and the cover part completely enclose the article, the backing part and the cover part each including at least a layer made of a single type of plastic and being heat sealed together in a defined area, the backing part and the cover part each constitute a transparent hard foil, and the backing part is provided with perforations of such a size that portions of the cover part engage in the perforations in a manner to plug the perforations in the area where the backing part and the cover part are heat sealed together.
