  • Patent number: 4501373
Abstract: A closure cap, in particular for bottle-like containers, having an element assuring intactness, which is connected by tear strips with a cap portion and remains on the container after the closure has been opened for the first time by tearing the tear strips, characterized in that a separation seam separating the element assuring intactness from the cap portion has a first set of alternating segments disposed in zigzag fashion periodically about the circumference of the element insuring intactness and additionally has a second set of alternating segments similar to said first set and carried by the cap portion. The first and second sets of segments mesh with each other. Tear strips are carried by the cap jacket between the element insuring intactness and the cap portion. The first and second sets of segments mesh with one another and serve as a coupling means during closure.

  • Patent number: 4427138
Abstract: A plastic pourer for insertion into the mouth of a bottle-like container, the pourer including a sealing flange at least partially covering the rim of the bottle mouth and also including a hollow cylindrical wall part bearing against the inside of the mouth. The container is closable with a cap. To insure secure seating of the pourer in the mouth through a large range of tolerances, at least two radically and axially extending feasible holding struts are carried by a hollow inner cylindrical part of the pourer, the struts extending for part of their axial length along the outer periphery of the inner cylindrical part and also beneath the inner cylindrical part. The struts bear elastically against the inner wall of the container mouth with a pressure greater than the holding pressure on a mandrel-like holder carried by the cap for inserting the pourer into the container mouth.

  • Patent number: 4347766
Abstract: A sharpener for steel edges of skis comprises a compact, inexpensive, portable holder containing a cutting plate and a guide pin. The cover for the holder can be positioned to serve as a handle. The cutting plate preferably forms an angle of less than 90.degree. with the steel edge of the ski to be sharpened.

  • Patent number: 4093417
Abstract: A method for washing textile material including first prewashing the textile material in an acid wash solution having a pH below 6.5 whereby incrustations remaining on the textile material formed in a previous main wash cycle are dissolved in the prewash cycle and then washing the material in a main wash cycle with a phosphate-free alkaline liquor whereby incrustations form on the textile material for removal during a second prewash cycle. The prewashing may be accomplished for 1-3 minutes at a temperature of 40.degree. C. while the main washing may be accomplished for the usual time at boiling temperature.
