  • Patent number: 8278238
Abstract: The present invention relates to light emitting compounds, especially to triplett emitters suitable for electrooptical applications. Compounds according to the invention are organometallic complexes of a metal, preferably Ir, having a backbone of one five-membered ring that is linked to a five- or six-membered ring, by an intermediate six-membered ring. These compounds are suitable for adaptation to the emission of light in the UV to NIR range by adaptation of atoms or groups within at least one of the five-membered or six-membered ring structures.

  • Publication number: 20120136536
Abstract: A vehicle is equipped with at least one environment detection system, a communication system which transmits information by remote transmission to receivers external to the vehicle, and at least one electronic control unit for both systems. The electronic control unit is designed to realize a standby mode which can be activated automatically or manually. The control device is configured such that when the vehicle is parked and the standby mode is activated, both the environment detection system and the communication system can be switched-on at least to a limited extent to predefined functions in regard to the transmission of information to receivers external to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20120039056
Abstract: The invention relates to a component arrangement with a first substrate and at least one second substrate arranged on the first substrate, wherein the first substrate has at least one first contact element and the at least one second substrate has at least one second contact element and the contact elements each has a contact surface connected such as to give an electrical contact and a protective layer connecting the first and second substrate together. During production the protective layer is structured such that a part surface of the first substrate and a part surface of the at least one second substrate are not covered, wherein the part surfaces include the contact surfaces of the at least one first and second contact elements and the contact generated between the contact surfaces is hence not contaminated by the protective layer. The contact surfaces are thus freely accessible without elements of the protective layer lying therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20110316456
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrodynamic braking device and to a method for braking a universal motor having a field winding and an armature. The universal motor can be switched from a motor mode to a braking mode. In the motor mode, the armature and the field winding are supplied with an alternating current of a power grid. In the braking mode, the armature is short-circuited and the field winding continues to be supplied with an alternating current from the power grid. In a first phase of the braking mode, the field winding can be supplied with an alternating current having the frequency of the power grid. In a further phase of the braking mode, the field winding is supplied by the power grid with an alternating current having a frequency that is reduced with respect to the frequency of the power grid.

  • Patent number: 7766551
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotor block (1) comprising a housing (2) with at least one connection surface (3A) that absorbs the load and pivot bearing seats (4) for plain and/or anti-friction bearings (5) that are designed to support a rotor (6). To dismount the rotor (6) from the housing (2), the plain and/or anti-friction bearings (5) can be dismantled from the exterior and the rotor (6) from a side (8) lying transversally to the bearings. The pivot bearing seats (4) take the form of recesses (9) that are directly configured in the housing wall, without the use of annular bodies. To facilitate the mounting and dismounting processes and to improve the precision of the rotor alignment, the pivot bearing seats (4) are configured in such a way that they form a segment greater than a semi-circle around the plain and/or anti-friction bearings (5), leaving a section open on one side (8) in relation to said bearings (5), thus forming a narrowing (13).

  • Publication number: 20100145050
Abstract: The present invention relates to chemical compounds that can be used in electrooptical applications. The electrically conductive and optical properties of these compounds, e.g. hole transporting, electron transporting and/or light emitting properties can be predetermined by substituting the core structure of these compounds with respective residues. The core structure (1) of the compounds according to the invention comprises two opposing aromatic moieties which are chemically bonded through an intermediate central atom. This central atom has a tetraedric configuration and therefore provides an orthogonal orientation to the organic moieties.
