  • Patent number: 6995498
Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer having an ultrasonic conducting element with a plurality of arms extending from a common junction with some of the arms being provided with ultrasonic generators, at least one other arm carrying a bonding tool, especially for bonding a conductor to a chip and at least two of the arms including a straight angle of 180° with one another.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 6, 2002
Date of Patent: February 7, 2006
    Assignee: Hesse & Knipps GmbH
Inventors: Jörg Wallaschek, Piotr Vasiljev, Hans Hesse
  • Patent number: 6946745
Abstract: In the forms of a flip-chip package in which the contact elements of the chip are ultrasonically welded to the contact elements of the substrate, either the chip or the substrate or both are provided, prior to juxtaposition, with a bonding material which can be ultrasonically activated. During the ultrasonic welding process in which the contact elements of the chip and substrate are bonded together, the bonding material provides an additional attachment between the chip and substrate and eliminates the need for underfilling.

  • Patent number: 6805033
Abstract: A seating unit in a combat vehicle that is protected against mines is provided. The vehicle has a hull that is disposed on the chassis and that has at least one hatch in its roof plate that can be closed off by a hatch cover. The seating unit, which is disposed in the hull in the region below the hatch, is provided with a base on which is disposed a seat and that is suspended on the front or side wall and/or the roof plate of the hull via a tubular construction in such a way that the base is not at less than a prescribed spacing relative to the base of the hull. The tubular construction can comprise two guide tubes that extend parallel to one another and upwardly at an angle. The upper ends of the tubes are connected with the front wall, and the lower ends are suspended on the roof plate via connecting tubes. The base is displaceably disposed on the guide tubes via holding devices.

  • Publication number: 20040154824
Abstract: An assembly for electrically connecting a part rotatable about an axis with a relatively stationary part has an elongated multiconductor flat ribbon having a pair of ends and wound in a spiral around the axis. One of the ends is secured to the rotatable part and the other of the ends is secured to the stationary part. The flat ribbon is comprised of a flat elongated tape and a plurality of parallel conductive traces on the tape extending between the ends. The traces are flat strips with a width dimension parallel to the width dimension of the tape. The tape is nonconductive so that the traces are electrically isolated from one another.

  • Patent number: 4712469
Abstract: A hydraulic tensioning device for tracked vehicles comprising a hydraulically chargeable piston-cylinder unit, coupled on one end with the body of the vehicle, and with the other end to a guide wheel for the track chain which is supported on a rocker arm. In order to obtain the proper track chain tension in any operating condition without providing a separate hydraulic pump, the piston unit is equipped with a tappet supported against the piston unit by means of a spring unit. The tappet closes off a secondary cylinder chamber in the piston unit which is connected with the principal cylinder chamber by two check valves which seal in opposite directions. The tappet effects a pumping action as the result of the vibration generated by the chain links running in and out the guide wheel, thereby pumping the hydraulic oil from a hydraulic oil reservoir into the secondary cylinder chamber and from there into the principal cylinder chamber.
