  • Patent number: 10495154
Abstract: A device for transmitting a torque between an internal combustion engine and a generator has a motor-side shaft, a generator-side shaft, a separate transmission element for transmitting the torque between the two shafts, and a seal device. The motor-side shaft and the generator-side shaft are situated in each case substantially coaxially with respect to one another and are in each case connected by way of a shaft-hub connection to the transmission element, wherein a lubricant chamber which is situated radially outside the transmission element and between the motor-side shaft and the generator-side shaft and which couples the two shaft-hub connections with regard to a flow of lubricant is sealed off with respect to the outside by the seal device.

  • Patent number: 9131629
Abstract: A cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle having a drive which comprises two motors, of which one is an internal combustion engine and the other is an electric motor (3) which is connected to an inverter (2), which is connected to an electrical energy source (1), via electrical cables (4, 5). For the purpose of cooling the energy source (1) and the inverter (2), the latter are each equipped with at least one cooling element, which directly surrounds the energy source or inverter, for conducting a fluid coolant. The electrical cables (4, 5) are combined with at least two pipes which at one end are connected to the cooling elements of the energy source (1) and inverter (2) and at the other end are connected to a heat exchanger (7) in order to form a coolant circuit.

  • Patent number: 5757645
Abstract: A diagnostic method for motor vehicles with a diagnostic device for checking electronically controlled systems, in which a fault memory provided in an electronic control device is interrogated and in which test steps to be performed in accordance with the information in the fault memory are prescribed. The test steps performed in response to the prescribed test steps are recorded in the electronic control device.

  • Patent number: 5477816
Abstract: A cooling device is provided for a motor vehicle liquid-cooled internal combustion engine with a radiator connected to the supply and return lines of the engine. The radiator has a filling opening closable by a cap. A temperature-controlled thermostatic valve, via which the coolant is sent completely or partially either through the radiator or through a bypass between the supply and return lines to bypass the radiator, is controllable by electrical heating. An electrical switch is mounted on the filling opening such that upon actuation the thermostatic valve is electrically heated, so that the coolant passes at least partially through the radiator.
