    Abstract: A system and method for monitoring an environment and performing analysis of collected samples are provided. The samples can be collected by personnel, a robot or a cobot, and the system may receive results of the monitoring/analysis and output information (e.g., alerts, reports, trends, forecasts) to environmental services, infection prevention personnel, and/or an electronic health/medical record system. If a contaminant is detected in the environment, appropriate personnel may automatically be alerted so that the contaminant can be eliminated/contained.
