  • Publication number: 20230011745
Abstract: A multi-ply tissue paper product includes at least three plies. The tissue paper product includes a first inner ply being a creped ribbed ply and having a basis weight of 10 to 30 gsm, and a first outermost ply and a second outermost ply on each side of said inner ply, the first and second outermost plies being non-ribbed plies, wherein a creped ribbed ply is a ply including ribs and valleys providing an average core roughness Rk in the range 10 to 300 ?m, and peaks being 4 to 12 per cm as measured along said first direction; and wherein a non-ribbed ply is a ply displaying no parallel ribs and valleys extending continuously along any direction of the ply or displaying parallel ribs and valleys extending continuously along any direction of the ply, the ribs and valleys providing peaks being less than 4 per cm.

  • Patent number: 10344432
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a paper product including providing a forming fabric and forming a web on the fabric. The forming fabric includes warp knuckles of directly adjacent warp yarns overlapping the cross-machine direction forming a continuous warp knuckle pattern angled to the machine and cross-machine directions. A first line connecting the centers of first two directly adjacent warp knuckles of the continuous warp knuckle pattern is angled to the machine direction at a first angle different from a second angle of a second line connecting the centers of second two directly adjacent warp knuckles of the continuous warp knuckle pattern so that a line connecting the centers of all warp knuckles forming the continuous warp knuckle pattern is non-straight. At least 50% of all the continuous warp knuckle patterns have an overlap of at least three consecutive weft yarns.

  • Publication number: 20190003127
Abstract: A paper product including a fibrous web manufactured in a paper making machine including a fabric is disclosed. The web has a first and an opposite second side. At least one of the first and second sides of the web has, in a pattern repeat, a number of longitudinal, machine direction oriented compressed areas with a first density of fibers and a number of machine direction oriented bulky areas with a second density of fibers lower than the first density. The compressed areas correspond to machine direction oriented warp knuckles of warp yarns floating over weft yarns, and adjacent compressed areas, corresponding to warp knuckles of directly adjacent warp yarns, overlap in the cross-machine direction forming a continuous compressed pattern angled to the machine and cross-machine directions.

  • Patent number: 6743333
Abstract: The invention relates to a paper machine clothing in the form of a fabric with a web pattern which recurs regularly over the surface and has indentations (20) that are formed by the thread overlays (21), the latter having been surface ground. Said thread overlays cover three consecutive warp or weft threads crosswise thereto. A paper machine clothing of this type can be used especially in “through air drying” techniques to produce an especially voluminous tissue paper.

  • Patent number: 6592714
Abstract: The invention relates to a paper machine clothing, notably an air-dry clothing (TAD clothing), in the form of a woven having a weaving design. According to the invention the relative depth of machine clothing cups which are open towards the contact surface of the paper is 20% or more, said relative cup depth being the quotient of the difference between the measurement height for which the bearing percentage is 30% and the measurement for which the bearing percentage is 60%, on the one hand, and the sum of the diameters of a warp thread and a weft, on the other hand. The measurement height “0” is the outer limit of the paper machine clothing on the paper contact surface, the bearing percentage is the projected sectional area of the threads of the woven at a given measurement height in relation to the measurement surface, the section areas being parallel to the surface of the clothing.

  • Patent number: 6344110
Abstract: A process for producing paper having a three-dimensional structure of alternating raised and recessed portions including passing a wet paper web through a heated press nip so the paper web is simultaneously dried by means of impulse drying and given a three dimensional structure. The heated press nip includes a heated pressure roll with a three dimensional pattern of alternating raised and recessed portions in its surface and a compressible surface. The compressible surface can be a compressible press felt which supports the wet paper web prior to and through the heated press nip. The compressible press felt may be pressed against a resilient compressible surface in the heated press nip away from the heated cylinder. The wet paper web may be a papermaking pulp containing at least 10%, and preferably at least 30% or 50% by weight of a high-yield pulp such as TMP or CTMP.
