  • Patent number: 10086623
Abstract: A device for circulating an ink supply to at least one inkjet print head includes at least two components that are different than the inkjet print head and through which ink flows, such as a pump and a valve for the ink. At least one ink line is connected between the components. At least one section of the ink line is embodied as a channel in a plate. The device advantageously has a compact construction and is easy to clean and service. The device has a high degree of reliability since the number of hose lines is advantageously reduced.

  • Patent number: 9840083
Abstract: A method for damping pressure peaks in an ink line of an inkjet printer includes connecting the line to a chamber divided by a diaphragm into an air-filled first space and an ink-filled second space, connecting the first space to an air-filled buffer, connecting the buffer to an air pump, a) pumping air into the first space until freeing the chamber of ink and the diaphragm rests on a chamber wall or tension in the diaphragm begins rising substantially linearly, then b) pumping air out of the first space until filling the chamber with ink and the diaphragm rests on a chamber wall or tension of the diaphragm begins rising substantially linearly, while determining the number of pump cycles, then c) pumping air into the first space while passing through substantially half of the determined pump cycles. Steps a and b may be reversed.

  • Patent number: 9050823
Abstract: A method produces a printing image formed of sections on a material using two inkjet printing heads. The printing image has first and second printing image sections meeting at a y coordinate Y1. The method includes choosing a data stripe extending in the x direction having a width about the location Y1, and examining the data in the selected stripe for a data field of the extent dx in the x direction and dy in the y direction, in which edge detection is possible. The data field is selected and the x coordinate x1 and the y coordinate y1 of the data field are captured. The printing image is then produced. An image of a measurement field correlated to the data field is recorded. The image is recorded, and edge detection is carried out. The image is corrected when an edge is detected.

  • Patent number: 8947719
Abstract: A method for controlling printing speed of print jobs having different printing images on printing material, includes calculating printing data from a first static component, calculating and combining printing data from first variable components with printing data from the first static component forming first printing data and forwarding the first printing data to a printing unit, counting a current value with a counter, calculating printing data from a second static component, printing first printing images with the printing unit using first printing data and controlling printing speed of the printing unit to conclude the calculation before the counter reaches a value, calculating and combining printing data from the second variable components with printing data from the second static component forming second printing data and forwarding second printing data to the printing unit, and printing the second printing images with the printing unit using second printing data.

  • Patent number: 7330202
Abstract: A method for correcting the skewed recording of a printing original on a recording material in an exposer includes the steps of projecting, with an exposure head, a linear array of exposure points generated by N laser beams onto the recording material and moving the exposure head continuously along an exposure drum in axial feeding direction as the exposure drum rotates. As a result, the printing original is recorded along a helix wound around the exposure drum. The laser beams are modulated with image data that is taken from a stored image point matrix along an angled read path, the read path running through the image point matrix at an angle formed by the helix with respect to a circumferential line of the exposure drum.
