  • Patent number: 5679774
Abstract: DNA sequences of the EBV genome coding for EBV-related antigens as well as the EBV-related antigens, fusion proteins containing the EBV-related antigens, recombinant DNA molecules containing the DNA sequences, cells containing the recombinant DNA molecules, processes for producing EBV-related antigens, and diagnostic and pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5427583
Abstract: To permit the advantage of low-noise operation, obtainable by using links of respectively different lengths in a sprocket chain built in the triple side bar arrangement, while providing longitudinal guidance to the links and preventing interference of longer links with shorter links, some of the chain links (1, 10) have the side bars (1a, 10a) formed with a projecting nose (12, 14), positioned on at least one end portion of the respective side bar of the link, the projection extending towards the next sequential chain link, with a maximum extent up to the joint piece or rocker element (3) interconnecting the links together.

  • Patent number: 5255143
Abstract: In a tape cassette, a rotary movement of a reel or hub can be visualized in a technical and aesthetic manner by means of a completely or partly transparent cover above and/or below the reel or the hub. Advantageously, the cover contains at least one space and the reel or the hub at least one contrasting pattern, for example with respect to the shape and color of the cover. The pattern/cover combination can be used for all cassettes containing recording media, in which a movement of the recording medium, in particular of a magnetic tape, of a magnetic disk, of a film, of an optical disk, etc., takes place.

  • Patent number: 5158176
Abstract: Packaging for data or recording media, for example for magnetic tape cassettes or compact disks, consists of snapped together lower and upper parts and a support frame, in the end areas of which spring elements are formed which press the lower part and upper part apart. The spring elements are formed in the shape of legs at the end of the support frame, which is in the shape of a crosspiece, into which a resilient clasp can be inserted, the end sections of which press on the insides of the lower part and upper part. Tongues formed on the crosspiece and connected with the legs assure the mechanic stability and torsion stiffness of the support frame along with the most economical use of the material and form receptacles for the secure holding and positioning of the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5137150
Abstract: A container for a recording medium, such as a magnetic tape cassette, consists of a receptacle, which receives the recording medium in a partially pocket-like manner, and of a cover pivotably connected with it. The faces and side walls of the container are distributed between the receptacle and the cover in such a way that the receptacle constitutes a face of the container as well as at least a portion of the side walls adjoining this face, while the opposite face of the container is formed by the cover, so that a removal opening for the lateral insertion or lateral removal of the recording medium is formed. If the face formed by the cover directly adjoins a portion of the side wall of the container, also formed by the cover, a manipulation surface is created by means of which the container can be opened, similar to a pocket lighter, by a simple movement of the thumb, while the hand of the user firmly grips the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4292769
Abstract: A device for balancing rotating bodies including a sensing arrangement for sensing the out of balance of the rotating body and for abrasion tool at a frequency corresponding to the speed of the rotating member so as to remove material from the rotating member in phase with the working vibration in the same region of the rotating member for effecting a balancing of the rotating member. The apparatus also includes an adjusting arrangement enabling adjustment of the phase relationship of the vibration of the abrasion tool with respect to the phase relationship of the out-of-balance signal so as to effect shifting by any number of steps of 360.degree./n, n being a whole number>3, irrespective of the speed of the rotating member.
