  • Patent number: 5934888
Abstract: An aspirator pump, especially for medical purposes, has a receptacle with two chambers arranged alongside each other, which are connected with a suction tube, and on each of which an element is arranged which is movable approximately parallel to the other, each partially enclosing a hollow space for generating a vacuum. The two movable elements are connected to each other by means of a lever, whose two end parts are attached at the upper area of the respective movable elements, and whose middle part is movably attached in a bearing positioned between the chambers. In the upper area of each movable element a one way valve is installed which opens when the pressure in the hollow space is higher than the surrounding air pressure. An easy operation and cleaning, as well as a reliable aspiration is obtained with the aspirator pump, owing to the fact that at all times a chamber and a movable element enclose a common, variable hollow space, wherein the movable element bounds the upper area of the hollow space.

  • Patent number: 5676134
Abstract: A respiratory gas container has a flexible bag having an opening with a valve housing arranged in the opening area housing having an upper part and a lower part as well as at least one gas discharge and one gas inlet valve and a connection piece. In order to be able to decontaminate the respiratory gas container reliably and to be able to recognize and eliminate functional disturbances easily, the lower part is mounted substantially within the bag, whereby the lower part has at least one gas discharge valve within the opening. The upper part is mounted substantially outside the bag, whereby it has at least one gas inlet valve and a connection opening as well a fixing element with gas outlet openings mounted in the area of the bag opening. The lower part is detachably joined with the upper part, whereby at lease one connection opening is connected with a gas inlet opening of the lower part through a hollow space of the upper part.

  • Patent number: 5520173
Abstract: A ventilation bag for a manually operable ventilation device for the artificial ventilation of humans. The bag is made of an elastic, gastight material in the form of an elongated hollow body, with an essentially circular cross section perpendicular to its longitudinal axis with gripping surfaces for differentiated reduction of the volume of the hollow body along its length and having an air inlet opening at one end and an air outlet opening at the other end. To be able to administer different ventilation volumes with relatively greater accuracy and to reduce fatigue to a minimum, the gripping surfaces are arranged, essentially concentrically about the longitudinal axis and one behind the other in the direction of the longitudinal axis, at at least one end of the hollow body, the diameter of the hollow body decreasing toward that at least one end having the gripping surfaces.
