Abstract: A bridle unit assigned to a rolling stand with several rolls arranged in adjustable positions below and above the strip flow, which can be moved by means of a drive from an initial position to the strip and from the strip back into the initial position, wherein the roll situated closest to the roll gap of the rolling stand can be moved by means of an additional drive from an initial position below the strip flow or from an initial position above the strip flow to the strip, such that, when the bridle unit is used for coloring the strip, the circumference of the roll deflects the strip upward or downward from the horizontal pass line and forms a bite angle above or below the pass line.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a bridle unit (2), which does not necessitate a lengthening of the distance between the rolling nip (9) and the unwinding of the strip, even if a coloration of the strip (4) is required. To achieve this, the invention provides a bridle unit that is allocated to a rolling stand (1), said unit comprising several rolls that are fixed below the course of the strip and several rolls that are adjustably positioned above the course of the strip, which can be displaced from an initial position towards the strip (4) and from said strip back into the initial position by means of a drive. The roll (11) that lies the closest to the rolling nip (9) of the rolling stand (1) can be displaced from an initial position (12, 13) above and/or below the course of the strip towards the strip and from said strip back into each initial position by means of an additional drive (18).

Abstract: A device for influencing the profile of strip rolled in at least one roll stand includes adjusting units, bending units and possibly displacement units for the stand and spray beams adjacent the rolls of the stand for spraying cooling agent and/or lubricating agent onto the rolls, if necessary, in a controlled manner; the device further includes a regulating unit. Additional spray beams are provided adjacent the two end portions of the body of each roll, wherein the effective range of each additional spray beam extends from the respective end of the body of the roll into the area of the strip edge facing this end of the body of the roll.
