  • Patent number: 11266073
Abstract: A crop cutting device including knives pivotally mounted below a crop guiding surface. Each knife is pivotable between a retracted position in which it is located below the guiding surface and an extended position. At least a cutting edge of the knife projects above the surface. A selector mechanism selectively holds spring loaded parts of operating members to maintain the corresponding knife in its retracted inoperative position while the operating member is moved to its second position. The selector mechanism includes a shaft carrying a plurality of cam elements which are mounted on the shaft and arranged to be moved to a position for blocking a respective spring loaded part upon rotation of the shaft from a non-holding to a holding position.

  • Patent number: 11116141
Abstract: A baler including a twine box having a frame and a twine cradle. The twine cradle is for holding one or more spools of twine and is mounted to the frame. The twine cradle is movable between a loading position and an operational position, by way of an intermediate position. In the loading position, a spool of twine can be loaded into the twine cradle. In the operational position, twine is removable from the spool of twine within the twine cradle in order to tie a bale. The twine cradle is movable between the loading position and the intermediate position by a rotational movement about a pivot that defines a horizontal axis of rotation. The twine cradle is movable between the intermediate position and the operational position by a translational movement.

  • Patent number: 7644563
Abstract: A round baler is disclosed having a bale forming chamber. A duck bill, which comprises a pair of elongate plates that are biased towards one another to grip the wrapping material between them, is movable between an advanced position and a retracted position to introduce the free end of a wrapping material drawn from a supply roll into the bale forming chamber of the baler. A cutting device is located between the retracted position of the duck bill and the bale forming position for severing the length of wrapping material wrapped around the bale in the bale forming chamber at the end of a bale wrapping cycle from the supply roll. In the invention, a clamping device is provided to apply an additional force to urge the plates of the duck bill towards one another while the duck bill is in the retracted position in order for the wrapping material to be gripped more firmly between the plates of the duck bill between bale wrapping cycles.
