  • Publication number: 20120283528
Abstract: A replaceable magazine for use in an analytic test instrument a plurality of analytic aids on a carrier tape. The analytic aids can be made available in an application position of the magazine by means of the carrier tape. The magazine has a supply reel for holding regions of the carrier tape with unused analytic aids and a take-up reel for holding regions of the carrier tape with used-up analytic aids. The carrier tape can be moved in a spooling direction from the supply reel to the take-up reel. The magazine has a rewind lock of the take-up reel. The magazine has a tape release device, which is configured to make available a take-up reel tape reserve of the carrier tape on the side of the application position facing the take-up reel. The take-up reel tape reserve enables a lifting movement of an analytic aid situated in the application position.

  • Publication number: 20120165698
Abstract: The invention concerns a control device for a medical test system which has a lancing element that can be inserted into body tissue to collect body fluid and a lancing drive for the lancing element. A sensor element for body fluid is arranged on the lancing element and a control unit is coupled to the sensor element for detecting a fault when collecting body fluid. In order to improve the success rate, the control unit actuates the lancing drive for an automatic puncture repetition in less than 1 second when a fault, e.g., inadequate wetting of a detection field, occurs.

  • Publication number: 20120143235
Abstract: An inventive lancet device for producing a puncture wound, in particular for collecting a sample of a body fluid which has a magazine holder for a lancet magazine containing a plurality of lancets. The lancet device can be alternatively operated such that either a new lancet is used for each puncture process by automatically advancing the lancet magazine stepwise or the automatic stepwise advance of the lancet magazine can be suppressed or deactivated so that, if desired, several punctures can be carried out with the last used lancet before an unused lancet is used at a desired time.

  • Publication number: 20090177118
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for collecting body fluids which has at least one lancet comprising a lancet body with at least two tips of different lengths. The device is characterized in that it has a selection means with the aid of which only one tip is selected before the lancing. This selection means can have different functions and shapes. The selection means is used to select a tip from a plurality of lancet tips which have different lengths and make only this tip available for use in the lancing process. Since the various tips are attached to a lancet body, it is, for example, possible to use a bending element which bends one of the various tips out of the plane of the lancet body in order to provide only one lancet tip for use. This is especially preferable for lancet tips that are arranged linearly relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 7369952
Abstract: The invention relates to analysis methods for diagnosing diseases on human and animal samples. Said invention also relates to an evaluation method for diagnosing the individual stages of a disease in such a way that it is possible to display the progression thereof. Said invention also makes it possible to identify diseases in an early manner and to carry out therapeutic controls. The inventive method consists in carrying out actually known multivariable evaluation methods for classifying samples. Nevertheless, the invention is characterised in that no sample is allocated to a certain class, but it is classified in a data record based on the interpolation between different classes.

  • Patent number: 7077828
Abstract: A device for withdrawing blood for diagnostic purposes including a lancet and a lancet drive having a loadable elastic drive spring provided within an elongated housing. A relaxing motion of the drive spring is converted into a puncturing motion to move the lancet at high speed in a puncturing direction until its tip exits out of an opening of the housing. The device includes a transmission in the housing that has an input side that transforms the motion of a loading element along a linear loading path into a rotational motion of a lancet drive rotor to load the lancet drive rotor by tensioning the drive spring. When the lancet drive is triggered, the output side of the transmission converts a rotational motion of the lancet drive rotor, driven by the drive spring, into the puncturing motion in a direction along the main axis.
