  • Publication number: 20160288754
Abstract: A rollover protection system for a motor vehicle has a deformation crossbar (2) with a profiled strut (3) extending along a vertical axis (6) of the vehicle, and a deformation element (4) is held at a first end (9) of the profiled strut (3). The first end (9) faces away from a floor of the motor vehicle. The deformation element (4) has a first outer surface (11) that faces away from the profiled strut (3) to define an impact surface, and the deformation element (4) is designed as a strut profile extending in the direction of a longitudinal axis (8) of the motor vehicle. The profiled strut (3) has a contact surface (10) that faces the deformation element (4) and on which the deformation element (4) is held. The deformation element (4) is designed to at least partially match an inner contour of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8132843
Abstract: A folding top compartment lid, in particular a folding top compartment lid with an integrated engine bay lid, is pivoted into an open position and into a closed position by a so-called four-bar hinge arrangement. An actuating device is articulatedly connected to a rear and a front setting-out lever of the four-bar hinge mechanism, which actuating device is coupled to a locking device which contains locking hooks. The actuating device with the setting-out levers can be activated by a hydraulic cylinder so as to pivot into the open and closed positions in such a way that the folding top compartment lid can be moved from the locked closed position into an unlocked open position and back from the open position into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7740277
Abstract: A motor vehicle, in particular cabriolet, has a rollover protection device disposed behind the seats. The rollover protection device has a supporting frame, which extends in a vehicle transverse direction and which is fastened to the adjoining vehicle supporting structure, and at least one rollover protection cassette which contains a deployable rollover body. The supporting frame contains lateral upright column sections, a transversely running connecting profile and support elements which are connected to the column sections. Here, it is important that the at least one rollover protection cassette or a housing thereof is a constituent supporting part of the multi-part supporting frame which extends in the vehicle transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 6902225
Abstract: A wind-deflecting device for a convertible includes a center part of the wind-deflecting device, which in its upright operating position is arranged between spaced-apart bar sections of a rollover bar and is held in place on the rollover bar via releasable locking connections. Each releasable locking connection includes a receiver fixed to the rollover bar and interlocking with a laterally supported holding element of the center part. The locking connection further has a pivotably supported spring-loaded notch lever to release the locking connection. To enable the releasable locking connection to be released from a sitting position and to increase ease of operation, the notch lever is arranged on the fixed receiver and a pushbutton interacting with the notch lever is provided on the receiver to pivot the notch lever.

  • Patent number: 5599056
Abstract: A first, fork-shaped component accommodates a second component, in which case an articulated connection between the two components takes place by means of an inserted pin. In order to establish a rattle-free connection between the two components with a good functioning and a simple mounting and a small space requirement in the longitudinal direction of the pin, it is provided that one sleeve respectively, which receives the pin, is inserted into bores of the first fork-shaped component, on the side facing the second component, each sleeve having an outwardly directed, elastic ring segment which, under prestress, is supported on the two components. In addition, on the side facing away from the ring segment, inwardly directed elastic noses are molded to the sleeves and reach behind the slid-in pin without a head and secure it against a falling-out.
