  • Publication number: 20060120513
Abstract: In an adjustment device and method for a tomography apparatus for aligning of a patient support device and an acquisition system relative to one another, a reference laser projects onto a reference element associated with the patient support device, the reference laser being directly associated with a rotary frame of the acquisition system, such that tolerances in the alignment between the reference laser and the acquisition system are prevented. Moreover, due to the arrangement of the reference laser directly on the rotary frame of the tomography apparatus, a simple calibration between laser beam and the acquisition plane of the acquisition system is ensured by a displacement of the reference laser in two different rotation angle positions which exhibit an angular interval therebetween of substantially 180 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20050213700
Abstract: An imaging tomography apparatus, in particular an x-ray tomography apparatus or an ultrasound tomography apparatus, has a stationary unit with a measurement unit for measurement of an out-of-balance condition, on which stationary unit is mounted an annular measurement device rotatable around a patient tunnel. Compensation weights for compensation of the out-of-balance condition are provided on the measurement device. To simplify the balancing procedure, the compensation weights are fashioned in the form of compensation rings surrounding the patient opening and with respectively defined out-of-balance conditions. • Publication number: 20050201512
Abstract: A computed tomography apparatus has a gantry with at least one x-ray tube and at least one detector. The x-ray tube and the detector are executed such that they can rotate around a system axis (z-axis), and the detector exhibits a width B in the system axis direction and a longitudinal length L in the circumferential direction of the gantry. At least one movable detector diaphragm is arranged that is moved in front of the detector as needed and thus partially covers the detector. • Patent number: 4519572
Abstract: A valve device, especially for die casting machines. The device comprises a control drive and a control member which is arranged between the control drive and the valve cone, and which converts the rotary movement of the control drive into an axial stroke movement. The object of the invention is to provide a quick acting valve device with which the adjustable limited opening of the valve cone can, with the aid of small manual or motor forces, be effected with structurally simple means in a space saving device housing in the direct drive. For this purpose, the control member which serves to adjust the opening limitation of the valve cone is a threaded sleeve which engages in a thread of the valve housing. Every time the working surfaces of the valve cone are acted upon by pressure, different hydraulic pressures are exerted upon the oppositely located end faces of the threaded sleeve for releasing the sides of the threads of the sleeve from the sides of the threads of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4457278
Abstract: A fuel supply system for a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine employs a controllable differential pressure for the removal of air from a main air duct into a carrier air duct for proportioning the fuel to be used. The fuel system includes a fuel proportioning device and a vane pump for withdrawing a carrier air flow from the main air duct and for transporting the fuel through feed lines to the internal combustion engine. The pressure of the air at the fuel outlet and the differential pressure for fuel proportioning is controlled by a differential pressure valve located in the carrier air duct spaced from the main air duct. The differential pressure valve has a diaphragm dividing the interior of the valve into chambers with one side of the diaphragm acted upon by the air pressure in the carrier duct between the differential pressure valve and the main air duct.
