  • Publication number: 20250118627
Abstract: A hybrid heat sink includes a pulsating heat pipe and a liquid cooling unit which Includes a cover, with the pulsating heat pipe and the liquid cooling unit being arranged in layers on top of one another. The pulsating heat pipe is located between a heat source and the liquid cooling unit and is integrated in the cover of the liquid cooling unit.

  • Patent number: 11178798
Abstract: A cooling system for a power converter includes a first cooling channel configured to form an air channel, and a second cooling channel configured to form an air channel. The first and second cooling channels have at least one section in which the first and second cooling channels extend in a parallel arrangement in which the first cooling channel cools semiconductors of the power converter and the second cooling channel cools intermediate circuit capacitors of the power converter An air distributor is provided to divide an air stream between the first cooling channel and the second cooling channel in a ratio in a range of 80:20 to 95:5 as a function of a measurement value generated by a temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 10685902
Abstract: A switchgear cabinet includes a closed housing, and a cooling device for cooling items of electrical and/or electronic equipment disposed inside the housing. The cooling device includes a first closed cooling circuit containing a first cooling medium for removing heat generated during operation of at least one of the items of equipment from the housing. The first cooling circuit is connected inside the housing to a first heat exchanger for transferring the heat from the at least one item of equipment to the first cooling medium and, outside the housing, to a second heat exchanger for dissipating the heat to an external cooling medium, with the second heat exchanger disposed above the first heat exchanger. The first cooling circuit, the first cooling medium and the first and second heat exchangers are designed to implement heat transfer according to the two-phase thermosiphon principle.

  • Patent number: 9591788
Abstract: A coupling system as a thermal interface between a waste-heat generator and a waste-heat receiver includes a first body having a first contact area, and a second body having a second contact area, with the first and second contact areas abutting one another for heat exchange. A tongue and groove connection having at least one tongue and at least one groove extends in a longitudinal direction for connecting and tensioning the first and second contact areas.

  • Publication number: 20100155040
Abstract: There is described a heat sink having at least one tube through which cooling medium flows and which is surrounded by a heat-conducting material, wherein the tube wall of the at least one tube is corrugated in the direction of flow. The corrugated embodiment has the advantage that the transition from laminar to turbulent flow relative to a straight-walled tube is effected at a lower flow velocity and the heat transfer area is greater at the same tube length.
