  • Patent number: 10428852
Abstract: A strip of nails for a nail driver has a number of nails connected to one another in order to connect at least two components and each nail has a nail shaft and a nail tip. The nails are made of wood and/or wooden materials and/or bamboo or materials containing palm tissue with a density greater than 0.65 g/cm3 and are connected to severable connecting means which are automatically sheared off when a nail is driven in. The nail tip is a conical round tip. The ratio of the length of the tip of the nail to the smallest thickness of the nail shaft is between 1.5 and 3, in particular between 1.5 and 2.5, and preferably between 1.8 and 2.1.

  • Patent number: 7405647
Abstract: A device includes a cap attachable to a receptacle for co-acting therewithin enclosing medication and timing a predetermined interval for taking the medication defined by one timing schedule of a set of selectable timing schedules. An electronic timing circuit is constructed and arranged to provide an alarm signal designating a time for taking the medication at the expiration at a predetermined time interval defined by the timing schedule. The electronic timing circuit is housed in the cap and includes schedule processing circuitry that defines the set of selectable timing schedules, and a set of outputs for issuing electrical signals at the expiration of the predetermined time interval. The device has a top part that fits snuggly inside the cap and remains attached to the cap under normal circumstances.

  • Publication number: 20050124036
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a recombinant functional plasminogen in micro-organisms, and to a method for identifying plasminogen activators. The nucleic acid sequence coding for the fuctional part of the plasminogen is fused with a nucleic acid molecule coding for at least one signal peptide. The nucleic acid molecule coding for the plasminogen and the nucleic acid molecule coding for the signal peptide are combined with codons for interfaces of proteases which ensure the separation of the signal peptide. The recombinant plasminogen or the corresponding plasmin is suitable for treating wounds which are slow to heal or not healing, by application of the enzyme in an appropriate formulation.

  • Patent number: 6084504
Abstract: A method and apparatus that is attachable to a receptacle for timing a predetermined interval according to a timing schedule of a set of timing schedules. The apparatus has an electronic timing circuit that provides an alarm signal at the expiration of the predetermined time interval. The timing circuit includes a set of inputs and a set of outputs that are both connected to processing circuitry. The processing circuitry defines the set of selectable timing schedules. The inputs correspond to the timing schedules, and the outputs issue the alarm signals. The apparatus also includes a sensing mechanism for selectively engaging an input based on the position of the mechanism. Each timing schedule is selectable by the device through the inputs that are engaged and disengaged.
