Abstract: An endocardial electrode for effecting the intracardial stimulation of a heart, consisting of an elongated electrical conductor, which is provided with an electrical insulation, and an electrode head located at the distal end of the conductor which is proximate the heart, for the transmission of stimulative impulses to the heart through the applied electrode. The electrode head includes electrically conductive small-surfaced contact portions which are connected with the electrical conductor, and in which the individual contact portions are so constructed and arranged so as to form the edges of at least one hollow body or, respectively, a depression.
