Abstract: Method for treating impurities contained in exhaust gases of ships to reduce sulphur oxide and other emissions. In order for the method to purify wash water exiting from an exhaust gas scrubber sufficiently enough to be directly dischargeable to sea, and in order for a purification unit used to be small enough to be easily placed onboard a ship, exhaust gases are scrubbed in the exhaust gas scrubber and wash water containing impurities and exiting from the scrubber is supplied to the purification unit, circulated in an effluent circuit, and filtered through a semipermeable membrane of a filter to obtain purified effluent and a residue containing impurities, when necessary, the pH value of the purified effluent is adjusted to be at least 6.5, after which it is discharged into the sea or recycled to the scrubber while the residue containing impurities is led back to the effluent circuit.

On the first side, there is a locking member with a bar (6) and a transverse part. On the second side, there is at least one lug (5) and the transverse part (4) is settable to a locked position on the lug (5) on the second side and releasable from the locked position on the lug (5). The lug (5) on the second side is turnable away from beneath the transverse part (4) in the locked position and lockable to remain under the transverse part in the locked position.

Abstract: A cargo transport unit for transporting cylindrical cargo includes a first side and an opposite, second side, a first end and an opposite, second end, a trough including inclined support walls supporting the cylindrical cargo, and a frame structure supporting the trough from below and including plural transverse supports. A first longitudinal edge profile and a second longitudinal edge profile of its bottom structure are both made of a profile including a continuous seamless structure extending from a first end to a second end of the cargo transport unit, and the transverse supports include a lower part extending from the first to the second longitudinal edge profile, and located at a height level of the longitudinal edge profiles, the lower part at its first end being welded to the first longitudinal edge profile and at its opposite, second end being welded to the second longitudinal edge profile.

Either an edge of the roof (6) or a top edge of a wall (5), or both, is provided with a bevelled surface (8a, 8b) against which a fork arm of a forklift truck may be supported, the bevelled surface (8a, 8b) being arranged to guide the fork arm of the forklift truck to the underside of the top surface of the roof (6) to allow the roof (6) to be lifted by the fork arm of the forklift truck.

Abstract: A support arrangement for supporting load in a transportation unit, includes a rod-like support member placed beside the load to support it and two parallel rails in the longitudinal direction of the transportation unit and at a distance from each other. The support member includes support ends for fastening to support points in the transportation unit so that the support member is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the transportation unit. Safe and easily implemented support for the load to be transported is achieved by arranging the support member to move along the inner walls of the rails and guided by the inner walls to set it against the load. The support arrangement includes an elongated flexible member and a tightening element for tightening the elongated flexible member against the load so that displacement of the load in relation to the rod-like member is prevented.

The arrangement comprises a reel holder (4), which holds the reel (1) placed therein substantially in position at least in the horizontal and downward direction, and the reel holder (4) is arranged onto a tweendeck (5) in the ship's cargo space (3) that is placed at a distance from the bottom (6) of the ship's cargo space, closer to the metacentre of the ship (2) than to the bottom (6) of the ship. The invention also relates to a tweendeck to be used as a transport support for the reel (1) in sea transport and to a tweendeck arrangement in the ship's cargo space (3).
