  • Patent number: 6340523
Abstract: A nylon 66 filament yarn having a tenacity of at least 60 cn/tex, an elongation of 10 to 25% and a hot air shrinkage of 7-11% (160 C).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 27, 1999
Date of Patent: January 22, 2002

  • Patent number: 6115893
Abstract: The method of producing an industrial yarn at a production speed of from 3000 to 6000 m/min includes melt-spinning a plurality of polyester filaments; stretching a thread made from the filaments by means of a delivery assembly (1) and a drawing roller system (2); providing at least one thread-braking device (3) including at least one deflecting roller (31, 32) between the delivery assembly (1) and the drawing roller system (2); deflecting and decelerating the thread between the delivery assembly and the drawing roller system by means of the at least one thread-braking device (3) and looping the thread only once around the at least one deflecting roller (31,32) of the at least one thread-braking device (3). The at least one deflecting roller (31, 32) is braked to a circumferential speed (v.sub.3) given by the following formula v.sub.3 =v.sub.1 +(v.sub.2 -v.sub.1)* F, wherein 0.5.ltoreq.F<1, v.sub.1 =the delivery assembly speed and v.sub.2 =the drawing roller system speed.

  • Patent number: 6023824
Abstract: A process for producing high strength, high shrinkage nylon 66 filament yarn for industrial fabrics formed as airbag fabrics, the process having the steps of drawing of a nylon 66 LOY filament yarn having a relative viscosity RV of at least 40 by at least three heatable draw roll units, winding the drawn yarn onto a cylindrical yarn support, and at a relaxation ratio of 4 to 10% setting a temperature of a last draw roll unit before winding to between 70.degree. C. and 160.degree. C., and setting a winding tension to less than 0.2 cN/tex.

  • Patent number: 5536157
Abstract: The apparatus for cooling, stabilizing and preparing melt-spun filaments includes a spinneret assembly for producing an annular bundle of filaments; a blowing air dispensing device downstream of the spinneret assembly and centrally located in the annular bundle for cooling the melt-spun filaments; a hollow, air-conducting preparation application device located centrally in the annular bundle and downstream of the blowing air dispensing device; a radially closed hollow cylindrical tube having open ends and connecting the blowing air dispensing device and the preparation application device to conduct air flowing through the preparation application device to the blowing air dispensing device and having a length of from 200 to 2000 mm and a controlling device for regulating the spinning speed and filament denier so that the product of the spinning speed and the square root of the filament denier is between 5000 and 20000 (m/min dtex.sup.

  • Patent number: 5419022
Abstract: In an apparatus for the spin-drawing, on multiple ends, of thermoplastic filament yarns on at least two pairs of godets (1, 2 and 1', 2'), their axes of rotation (7 and 8) are arranged skew with respect to each other in such a way that the axis of rotation (8) of the one godet (2) is arranged to be able to pivot within a plane (12) and the plane (12) forms an angle (.beta.) of 10.degree.-60.degree. with the plane (10). The arrangement according to the invention makes it possible for the first time to spin and simultaneously draw in an integrated manner on multiple ends.

  • Patent number: 4096562
Abstract: Method of controlling a variable in response to an error signal by comparing a signal correlated to and substantially proportional to the controlled variable with a reference signal corresponding to a set point value of the controlled variable. The reference signal varies substantially linearly with time until it reaches or at least closely approaches a limiting value which corresponds to the set point value of the controlled variable.
